Find out what Indian restaurants to try in Kigali. Inhabited since the 11th-century, what is now Kigali has been the home of Twas, Tutsis and Hutus. The city sits on a series of verdant ridges and lush valleys, and has a Muslim Quarter and a bustling market. Rwanda's capital is the site of battles that left over a million, mostly Tutsi and moderate Hutus, dead. Kigali Memorial Centre is a permanent memorial to 1994's Genocide, built on a mass grave where 250,000 are buried. Kigali City Tour Bus offers an excellent introduction to this now safe, friendly city.

This place impressed me with diversity of its service. They have multiple sitting arrangements: bar, longue, terrace and garden for family and kids. It has a magnificent view of Kigali city especially in night. Prices are comparatively cheaper and location is plus point with spacious parking.

The name Shere Khan translates quite literally to LION KING. the ethos behind the innovative menuwith an emphasis on refined yet creative Indian cuisine, the menu incorporates both traditional classic favourites and original new dishes that apply eastern
The restaurant has an amazing view! We sat right on the edge and enjoyed watching the sunset and the lights of the town. The nan bread was really good as was our main course meals. The Tandori Chicken was wonderful! My constructive criticism would be to lower the volume of the techno/Bollywood music being played in the restaurant while there is a live singer performing down by the pool. It became distracting during the meal. Other than that, well done!

Kigali has many Indian restaurants, and I would rank this one at the bottom. Indian chef has wonderful ambiance, and I enjoyed the service. However, the soups were not even Indian (they were Chinese), the naan was burnt, and the food did not taste authentically Indian. Compared to other Indian restaurants at the same price, I would say go somewhere else.

I went three times during the two weeks in Kigali just because I'm an absolute sucker for quality Indian food. The service was friendly, the prices reasonable, and the food delicious. The ambiance is mediocre and I'm not sure about the hotel. Located in a quiet area of town with other quality restaurants within easy walking distance.

This vibrant restaurant features all-day dining with live "cooking theatres" in a bright, airy atrium style environment. Both buffet and a la carte dishes are available. Be sure to dine out on the terrace!
Had lunch at the Soko restaurant - grilled chicken, rice and vegetables. What a disappointment! The chicken was dry, under seasoned and lacking any taste. The few pieces of vegetables were overcooked. One would imagine that in a restaurant of this caliber at least the chicken would have been marinated. The whole lunch experience was underwhelming.Dear 202kaemThank you for your feedback. We value your views and regret any disappointment experienced. We have taken note of your comments and used them constructively to further improve our guest offering. We look forward to being of service again in the near future and believe you will enjoy the experience.RegardsSimon H

Really cool place to have a meal. Great atmosphere and vibe in the place. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the menu (both Chinese and Indian cuisine) were huge and well varied. Nobody struggled to find something and I think everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal and there were around 12 of us dining. Prices are also very reasonable. The main let down was having to wait for over 30 mins on a bill or payment being taken. We got to the stage where we were close to walking our because we had asked so many times and nothing was done to bring the bill over so that was a bit disappointing. Overall this is a great place to have a nice authentic, Asian meal and I would recommend and return but bare in mind the long wait for service. Dear Patron,Thanks for the feedback on our food and service, reviews like this helps us to reflect on the areas which we need to focus and improve on. We shall look forward to your next visit & get our act right henceforth. We are very happy to know that you liked our food.Big Thanks from Zen Oriental Cuisine Staff & Management.

I went here with my family and was a bit disappointed. My family being Indian had expected more from an Indian restaurant then what they gave us. Certain dishes were okay but we ordered some dishes when they arrived at our table they were cold. Some curries were not kooked enough. It was a bit disappointing for me and my family that went their for our first time.
