Visited this restaurant on recommendation of a friend. However found this an average place. Few things need immediate attention of owner. I had to wait for nearly 15+ minutes before someone came to take order. Since I was alone, ordered for one plate of Mutton Biryani. Which took another 7-8 minutes and when he brought it, I was shocked to see the huge size of the "one plate". It was good for 2 and I could finish it in next 60-70 minutes! The preparation had excessive oil and meat pieces were not tender as I expected. I hope if the promoters are made aware of this feedback.

Highlands Park is a boutique and heritage property in Gulmarg. We offer Kashmiri, Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisine freshly prepared with locally sourced ingredients where possible.
For excellent prices, this hotel offers basic services at very fine quality. The suites are exceptionally big with excellent heating and facilities. Dining options are Indian traditional and limited but cooked very well nonetheless. A little cafe designed with Kashmiri tradition in mind sits in a location that overlooks the bunny hills, and serves snacks throughout the day. The hotel stretches along a path with small lawns in front of each room that provide privacy and the feeling of a massive space. In winter snow converts this already beautiful hotel to something magical.
Here's an idea- order both. Earthen Oven offers a host of original Peshawari cuisines prepared to perfection by the renowned masters of this historic culinary craft.

Cafe Troutbeat on main road adjacent to Pahalgam hotel for impressive array of Rainbow/ Brown trout & veg combo meals. Authentic recipes with fresh river water trout from local river Lidder & variety of veg combo meals for the vegetarians.
Located at the outer gate of Pahalgam Hotel, this fish restaurant is the only place to taste fresh water Kashmiri Trout fish. We visited this place on 29th Oct'18 for a late lunch. The original restaurant room being under renovation, they are currently operating at the adjacent coffee shop. Nice simple wooden interior with wood fired heating pleased us as soon as we stepped in. This being the only licenced Trout fish serving serving restaurant, the menu mainly consists if trout dishes served in various style. My wife went for Deep Fried Trout served with potato finger chips and mustard sauce. I went for Grilled Trout served with sauteed vegetables and served with Russian salad. Fish was very fresh and well cooked. Extremely tasty and must try if you love fish. However the place is quiet expensive. Each serving with a barely seven inch sized fish costs Rs.648 plus tax. But a must try pkace for fish lovers.

We ate here throughout our visit to Srinagar. Excellent food and very understanding waiter. We didn't eat meat so tried a number of the vegetarian options. All extremely good. My companion loved the walnut tart. I would recommend Ambrosia. Usually we sat outside. Eat here!

Homely food , no fuss environment and addictive paranthas - value for money . Mornings are packed but worth the wait . The tea is wanting due to the readymix and does not necessarily mact the home-style traditional chai but Krishna is a preferred address for my stop . Irresistible !
