Mirchi Indian Restaurant

We serve the best Indian food in town. Our Hyderabadi biryanis, south Indian tiffins are very popular.

We went here on recommendation of our family member living in Issaquah. This is relatively a new Indian Restaurant but is getting popularity very fast. Food is well prepared and looks to be authentic Indian. We are vegetarian and the vegetarian food was good. One could try their Samosa, Chhole Bhature - both these items are vr good. The sweet Chutney that they serve with Samosa is very tasty and prepared using authentic ingredients. Will love to visit again!

This restaurant also has the access through Maurya Indian Grocery Stores where most Indian Grocery / vegetables are available. The restaurant is found neat & clean serving south Indian and north Indian food - eat inside or take-out. We had tried Vegetarian Lunch Box which costs $7.99. They offer 10% discount if payment is made in cash. The food was just okay with Keralite flavour if we are not wrong, the Spinach Dal was very sour as if more quantity of tamarind was added. The quantity was just sufficient for one person / one diet. In the vicinity of Issaquah, the Indian community can definitely make a trial of some snacks and food while shopping in the stores.

The only reason I'm not giving this restaurant a rating of "Terrible" is because the food (when it finally arrived) was actually good. But the positives stop there. We'd seen this restaurant from the street many, many times and finally decided to give it a try one night after work. We arrived at 6:30. When we walked in, the hostess (at least I assume she was the hostess, as no one greeted us upon entry) stared at us from the desk with an absolutely blank face. She just looked at us with no expression at all. We stood and looked around a bit, and decided to approach her. We walked to the desk where she was standing and we smiled. Again, no response. My partner, confused, ventured "Uh...two for dinner, please?" Without expression or speaking a single word, she showed us to a table near the front window and placed two menus at the end. I said, "Thank y-..." but she walked away in the middle of my sentence. Astonishingly rude. We'd been there for 3 minutes, and I was already doubting my decision to go there. We looked over the menu and decided on several items. And then we sat and waited for our server. 5 minutes went by, and no one had even come to ask if we wanted anything to drink. So we continued to wait. Another 10 minutes went by before the water boy noticed that we were looking irritated. Finally, a man came to our table to take our order. We ordered an appetizer, 4 dishes to share for our entrée, garlic nan, and two chai spiced hot teas. He took the order, and left. Fifteen minutes later, the woman came back to our table, set down the appetizer (Samosas), and walked away. We couldn't understand why we hadn't received our tea yet. We ate the appetizer, and again, sat...and sat...and sat. And then we sat some more.It is now 7:19, and at this point, I was pretty piffed off. We'd been there for 40 minutes and hadn't even gotten our tea. I reached into my pocket to get some cash. I was going to put money on the table for the appetizer and walk out. As I pulled the money out, who comes strolling down the aisle but that lackluster robot of a woman, pushing a cart with food on it. As she passed patrons at other tables, they were all trying to get her attention, but she just held up a single finger, and without stopping, said sternly, "One minute!" I was surprised, not at her rude behavior, but because I hadn't heard her speak yet. In retrospect, it's probably better that she kept her mouth shut. She arrived at our table, laid the food out, and again, we said "Thank you" as she strolled away with her cart. By now we found it almost amusing that the service was so bad...it was almost like being on a hidden-camera show, it was like someone was playing a prank on us or something. We chuckled to ourselves as she walked away because the whole experience was like a huge joke.It was now 8:00. We finished our food, and rather than wait another 30 minutes for our check, we just went to the desk and paid. We walked out vowing to never eat there again. Lesson learned. As I mentioned before, the food was good. But I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone simply because of the horrible service. Sorry, Pabla. I wanted to like you, but you're just too slow and too rude. Never again.

I had no idea this restaurant had opened in Issaquah until my friend took me there for lunch today. It was so delicious, I couldn't stop eating! We had the spring dosa and shaam savera chat. Both were delicious and unlike anything I've ever eaten before. So much flavor, and best of all, the dishes we ordered were vegetarian. It's a very casual place where you order at the counter. I can't wait to bring my husband. Issaquah needed a lunch spot like this; delicious, convenient and affordable.

Our friends have been appreciating this restaurant for Vegetarian Buffet and arrangements for Birthday party. The overall cost becomes economical for bulk ordering. If the Indian families like some fast food items, go for Samosa, Chhole Bhature, Dahi Vada. Navratan Korma and Malai Kofta are very good and so is the quality of Naan. We have no negative opinion about the Indian Food at this restaurant. If someone likes more spicy food, he could demand at the time of ordering.

I would agree with the others who note the food here is higher priced than other Indian restaurants in the area but since their food is consistently tasty and delicious we must keep going back! The staff is friendly and efficient. Every dish we try is so good...we have yet to be disappointed. Be sure to check the special board before ordering because there are some great offerings there in addition to the menu.

We had been here for lunch again with our friends and family. Since they stop orders at 2:45pm, we managed to enter and place order within their time frame. We ordered for:Medu Vadai (2 Pcs) - (Vadai was fried to dark brown level and therefore did not taste well) 14 Mini Idlis with Separate Sambar - (The Idlis were very hard!)Cone Dosa - was just so-soChocolate Dosa - was good and children love it.Masala Dosa - was okayMasala Rava Dosa - not bad in taste but could be better preparedThe Samber served was also not to their standard. Thus, the quality and taste of most vegetarian food items need closer attention to maintain name in the area. Moreover, service needs be maintained atleast to a level before they expanded in seating capacity. They offer 5% discount if the payment is made in cash. Why do they have such a option - cash or credit cards - both must be same. Are they hiding Government Tax by offering cash discount and not showing such sales in their tax returns? This needs be studied and investigated by concerned authorities. The serving staff is not a Student category ast all. Thus there should be no TIP as the very concept of TIP gets defeated. TIP was meant for supporting the Students! Can they take initiative in this matter and display the prices inclusive of all costs and TIPS.

There are several restaurants in Issaquah featuring food from India and adjacent regions and Bukhara is one we are currently frequenting. The menu has a variety of dishes to choose from so there is always something new to try. I currently can't get enough of the samosa chat delight which packs a lot of flavor into a bite and blends two of our favorites... samosas and chana with three sauces. The shahi korma is another favorite. Enjoy!

Max's World Cafe

Handcrafted delicious food with no preservatives, made from scratch with premium quality ingredients !

Reviewed By KathyCinRPV

I wish Anthony Bourdain had visited Max’s World Cafe. He would have loved it. Max’s serves excellent, adventurous food from around the world. The menu is limited to greatest hits, but everything our group of four tried was fantastic. Two of us were disappointed that our first choice, Mung Dal Curry, wasn’t available. The goat curry and artichoke salad we had instead were quite satisfying. The teen boy in our party said his pizza was very good. The seating area here is quite small, so we sat at a table in the kitchen. It was really hot and very casual, but it was nice to be able to give thanks to the chef. Two tips: be sure to check the menu prices, as this was ultimately pretty pricey, and be sure to order the amazing English sticky date cake with toffee dessert.
