We enjoyed our visit to Gurkhas very much. The food was excellent. We ordered bhaji, coconut shrimp korma, saag paneer, chicken tiki masala, vegetable momo and naan. All of the dishes were flavorful and tasty with a subtle and balanced mix of spices. We ordered one dish mild and the rest as medium (one of our party is a hotness lightweight). The medium level of hotness was pretty tame (remember, this is Utah) so if you want a bit of kick in your dishes, ask for "hot". The ambiance was nice with Nepali art and decorations. The staff was friendly. The only negative was the service was a bit slow and disorganized, but the place is new and I guess they're still working the bugs out.

What a great dinner! There were 8 of us and Iâm sure we drove them nuts with separate checks, being indecisive, etc. The food and service were excellent. The staff made our little gathering all that much better. Extra kudos on the Tandoori Chicken and the Lamb Roganjosh!
We eat Indian food frequently and are very excited to find this new spot. Originally, and still, in Millcreek, this second location is nicely appointed and has great service. We started with mild seasoning to get a feel for the heat and even mild has a good bite. All of our traditional favorites are on the menu and there are good wine and beer choices. We'll be back...

Finest Indian and Nepali Cuisine prepared by finest chefs.
...you just know this place is going to be fantastic. Sunday night dining in SLC can be a challenge, so we were delighted to find this place. Veggie platter - pander was to die for and onion bhaji is like an onion straw (yummy) - great for sharing. Dinner was aloo gobi, chicken MO MO (dumplings) and chicken vindaloo. Wow! Thrilled at portion size: we now have a 2nd full meal for lunch. Delightful food, caring staff... stop in, you'll love it!

Happened upon this restaurant when driving around and sooo glad we dropped in! Service and food were really quite excellent! While we stuck with tried and true for most 'indian' restaurants (chicken tikka, aloo gobi, nan), they proved very good so we'll be venturing further in the menu if we can avoid that temptation to revisit favorites! We'll look forward to return tripS! Definitely wished we lived closer to this one!

My friend who recently lived in India ordered an assortment of delicious appetizers with sauces. We continued with wonderful main courses which we shared between the three of us, and finished with a decadent honey pastry dessert. I wish I lived here.
