Spontaneous visit on a Sunday night. We got in just in time. Ten minutes later all tables were taken. Great flavours, prompt service. Not overbearing, and no pressure to buy alcoholic drinks. Stuffed naan was delightful. Would definitely go again and have recommended this place to others.

Our meals (takeaway) had good flavours apart from the Samosa which was pretty dry. The prices were reasonable and service was efficient, despite being very busy.Dishes are served up straight away when you order them from the counter.I'd recommend this takeaway for a curry. North Indian Cuisine also offers an eat in option.

Dinner last night was really lovely . It was a bitterly cold Saturday night so a very hot curry was extremely welcoming. Hubby chose the beef vindaloo and I had the Malayalee prawns which were hotter than the vindaloo!! Served up with 2 Bhutura's my husbands must have bread, a beautiful fluffy basmati rice, small kachumber and poppadums truly wonderful. I ordered a plain naan which arrived late but then got given another one for free, which I took home. Nice touch though!!Washed down with Four Sisters Sav/Blanc which was served nice and cold. Pride of India is a great and apt name for this Glenelg restaurant as the food is always consistently fantastic!! Can't wait for our next visit!

Welcome to Oh! Calcutta at Glenelg, the home of Adelaide's best Indian cuisine. Our menu offers a wide range of Indian specialties such as Lamb Rogan Josh, Beef Vindaloo, Butter Chicken and of course, Cocktail Samosas. Oh! Calcutta now has two locations.
Very good entrees, we chose the Fish Pakoras and the Chicken Tika. Both excellent as were the poppadoms. Good selection of mains too. Couple of things let it down but could easily be fixed. Cold plates, so much nice to have a warn plate to put your rice and curry on. The other thing is the hot food came out before the Chutney and Rita. Food getting cold while we waited. How easy is it to bring those items out well before the hot food?
