Things to do in Flic En Flac
Come and enjoy a nice Indian meal or grilled seafood specially prepared by our Nepalese chef with an amazing on the ocean.
This restaurant catering mostly to Indian cuisine was opened last year, situated on the main road at Flic en Flac with a splendid sea view. Not enormous but worth a visit if Indian food is one of your favourites. Pleasant and welcoming staff, always pleased to see you. A fairly good choice of dishes. The chicken korma was very tasty although the twist is that it is more spicy to what one may be used to however a bit spicy and less cream but pleasant to the taste. The chicken Tikka Masala was very tasty and delicious, once more the sauce was different but enjoyable. The portions were good, enough to satisfy one appetite. The choice of different types of rice and nan were on offer. Good portion of rice and tasty nans. Different vegetable dishes are also available. Various brands of soft drinks, alcoholic beverages and Mauritian beer were also on offer. Great place to spend an enjoyable evening or having lunch with friends. The food is cooked on the premises therefore there may be a wait before your orders are served but it is worth it as the food is so delicious, a bit pricey but once more worth the price.Thank you very much for your comment. We are glad that you like the food. Thanks

Le Bistro Morisyen is a family business which provides food of quality at affordable prices in a cosy and unique setting. We are located on the Coastal road of Flic en Flac after Clinique de L'Occident and beside the bakery.
My friends had been here a few times and loved this place and the food, so I went with them, we all had the burgers and there are excellent!, served with fries and salad. The family who own the bistro are really sweet and friendly.

Two menu's available, ie Indian and International cuisine. We ordered Indian curries. Great service from our waiter with recommendations on best meals. Very tasty and spicy food with extra spicy when ordered. The wines are very cheaply prices with a South African Cabernet at Rs650. Total bill for four people (two bottles of wine) came to Rs2950. Food on average around Rs200 to Rs450. We were fortunate to have a great fireworks display from Villas Carolina just across the road.

The 3 stars I gave is purely for the food, we got the butter chicken, veg biryani which was really nice. I gave this place 2 stars less because we had asked for raita to have with the biryani, the rude waitress said they donât do it but can give plain yoghurt, to which my wife asked if they can chop cucumbers and put it into the raita, the waitress abruptly said no. They then gave yoghurt and a plate of salad which had cucumbers in it anyways???? So my wife sat there chopped the cucumber up further and made her own raita, totally crap service and shocking to be honest why could they not simply chop up the cucumbers and put it in the yoghurt??The place is quite dated too, but the food is nice and reasonably priced, a curry typically costs £5-£7.HelloWe thank you very much for your review.Well we appreciate that you enjoyed your food but rather you wasn't satisfied with the waitressThus we would like to clarify that firstly raita doesn't form part of our menu. Even that the waitress has done her job to give you some yogurt.Anyway note that we have considered inserting raita in our menu and it shall be finalized by the end of OctoberThanks and hope to see you soonFarhaanZub Express

Cilantro - japanese and indian restaurant at the territorty of Maradiva villas resort and spa near Flik-en-Flak . There are two halls, one for indian cuisine, another one for japanese teppan. Originally japanese chef cooked on teppan beef and lobster. Not bad. But I was in Japan, at Kyoto, at original teppan restaurant and I feel the difference! Cilantro, japanese section was not confirm my expectation. And the cost! Around 200 euro for two! Too much!

Tried some snacks on Flic en Flac beach. We got freshly made calamari rings and chillies in batter (gateaux piments). The chillies were good but the calamari was not, hence the rating.

Reading reviews from others rating with one point on TripAdvisor this place makes me laugh! Last one "Its not a restaurant and they serve Roti only, no variety" sounds to me slight elegant said: stupid! Of course, they serve Roti only! That is WHY you go there, nothing else. I recommend such TripAdvisor to read the reviews first before commenting in such a negative and inappropriate way! Coming back to business: of course â it is the best in Mauritius, think that is why they are mentioned on TripAdvisor. And we can confirm. Freshly made a la minute they offer you a choice out of 5-8 various fillings. Flavors and spices are great, choose your spicy experience on your own. It is really a must and you will quite soon realize: you are not alone, get to the end of the queue. For us it was perfect, donât be worried, it is all clean. We strongly recommend to go for a visit there.
