Discover Restaurants offering the best Indian food in Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom. Edinburgh’s neighborhoods developed as the city did. Originally its heart lay in the alleys and cobbled streets of the Old Town, below the castle. Then, in the late-18th century, the residential focus shifted north to a huge planned Georgian New Town. That’s now become the city’s business center, while visitor attractions and nightlife have become fairly evenly shared between these two central districts. Around them, a ring of residential districts now house most of those living in central Edinburgh. Though less good for sightseeing, these neighborhoods are just as busy and typified by thriving restaurant scenes and large parks.

After reading the Trip Advisor reviews, we decided to try Mumbaiâs Diner Club. Tasty Indian food with fresh ingredients. Real treat. The restaurant is in a beautiful residential neighborhood, very quiet. The tables with linen tablecloths set the mood for a very nice meal.My partner and I both chose the Mater Paneer with Basmati Rice and loved how fresh the peas and Paneer were. Their Mater Paneer is a signature vegetarian dish. Chunks of cottage cheese with tender peas. Amazing flavors.Service is excellent!

Having well travelled the curry scene in Scotland for over 40 years...and even visited India, weaned on the flavours of the Punjab restaurants in Glasgow back in the 70's...at long last Edinburgh has matched such an establishment. Tandoori Prawns, marinated and cooked to perfection, and as for their Lamb Karahi...simply superb. As I have spent many years perfecting my own Indian cuisine...nothing comes closer than Rustom....not just in taste, but style!Thank you for taking the time to write us such an amazing review. We're absolutely pleased that you have enjoyed the quality of our food and service. We'd love to serve you again in our restaurant.

Nutan's is one of our favourite little restaurants, and Nutan herself is an absolute joy - always cheerful, warm and happy and up for a good chat. The food is wholesome and authentic, nothing fancy and very reasonably priced. Nutan's is just the place for a nice dinner after a busy day, or before a film at the nearby cinemas, or during Fringe if you just fancy getting away from the busier areas of town.

Edinburgh's Voujon, translated as invitation to dine, has been serving Indian and Bengali food in the Newington area of the city since 2005. The bright, airy and contemporary dining area, complete with simple floral displays and leather seating which invi
Really good menu with a wide choice, and while dishes had plenty of flavour they were mercifully lacking in excessive grease or fat - which Indian food can be prone towards. Good staff too. The restaurant looks fresh, modern and with some lovely large lamp shades hanging from the ceiling. Why I do not give it excellent is that those beautiful soft large lamps were not on, and instead there was very harsh bright lighting from the ceiling. This robbed the restaurant of any ambience. So easily remedied. And maybe that night whoever was in charge didn't realise how important lighting is. Otherwise an excellent evening.Dear TiggyWalkerFirst of all thank you very much for choosing to dine at voujon. Our Voujon family is truly happy to read your constructive review on TripAdvisor regarding your dining experience at Voujon. The way you praised our food and hospitality is given us great joy.
