Loved it! OM is nestled behind the IHOP on Rockville Pike. Plenty of free parking. Small but lovely & quiet place with kind/attentive but not intrusive service. DELICIOUS Indian food! Weekday Lunch Specials of small plates, U-pick-2 or 3 or 4 from ample & varied list, vegetarian & meat dishes. Perfect for sharing or leftovers, if you can pace yourself. Comes w/ good rice & great naan. Mango lassi drink was so tasty. They also have specials for Richard Montgomery HS students (nearby school). Even tho we ate a late lunch & were last to leave, staff were very patient & kind to us. We'll be back for sure.

Established in 1992, Bombay Bistro is a family-owned casual dining Indian restaurant located in Rockville, MD. Over our 23 years in Rockville, we have prided ourselves on providing high-quality Indian meals at affordable prices for our community. With an
Indian food is supposed to be spicy. There is a problem with some Indian restaurants in that they water down their food for their perception of the American clientele. This is an example. At most Indian restaurants, they ask you how spicy you want the food. Here they don't. What I got was okay, but not how I would have liked it. You're better off at Om in Ritchie Plaza. If I ever go again, I'll try the vindaloo (at most Indian restaurants, that's spicier than my poor acid reflux-y system can take). Also, they charge for the pappadom bread, which is free everywhere else I've ever gone.Otherwise, the service is good and serving sizes decent.

I had the Tandoori chicken for take out and garlic naan for takeout. Both items were burnt and they forgot to give me fork and/or spoon.

It was just "Meh" -- We stopped in based upon reviews we had read and our love for Indian Food. The wait staff was friendly, but didn't check in to see how the food was and they were very slow to take our initial order (though the restaurant was empty). The ambiance was okay (large sweeping ceiling(, but sparse and boy was it quiet. Almost like a library with very faint music playing. In fact, I had trouble blocking out the conversation from the table 15 feet away. Finally, the food was just not memorable. We ordered the Chicken Tica Masala (arrived luke warn and not very flavorful) and the Veggie Korma (served hot, but, again, not flavorful). Disappointed ;-(
