The strong aroma of Asian spices, with a tinge of Bollywood fervour and the enthralling sight of tuk-tuk â Maazi lets you drench in the spirit of India, scrumptiously.
Sometimes when a restaurant is on your doorstep, you don't appreciate it!Well my partner and I visited here last Saturday night and I must admit that we had the best Indian meal we've ever had........and that is saying something!Believe me,it was busy......but so well organised....after a 5 minute wait, shown to our table and were immediately attended to.Couldn't fault the meal or the service.......busy...yes...and they thoroughly deserve to be!

We visited on a Monday evening which is when the Balti does their 'Banquet Evening', which is a tasting menu with lots of different starters and dishes to share amongst your table. We decided against this as we preferred to choose some dishes from the main menu. We enjoyed popadoms and relishes to start with, followed by biryani and balti, naan and mushroom rice. The meal was good value (£50 for two including a couple of drinks each). We hadn't booked a table, and when we arrived at 6.45 were the only people in the restaurant, but by 7.30pm it was packed, so I'd advise booking if you're going to arrive later than 6.30ish. They were also very busy with take away orders. The service was a little slow, but we weren't in any rush so it didn't bother us. To top it off you get a couple of little chocolates and mints with your bill which I always think is a nice touch. I'd definitely eat here again if I'm in the area.

Finest Bangladeshi & Indian Cuisine. Offering A Restaurant & Takeaway Service. A New Concept Of Bring Your Own Alcohol In!
Whilst on a week's break in Matlock we decided to try this local Bangladeshi restaurant. What a find. Greeted by staff member and shown to our pre booked table ( in hindsight perhaps this was not necessary) for their Wednesday night special. Restaurant already busy, but not overly so as to distract from the attentive staff. Ordered our selection from their special 4 course menu. Good excellent and very beautiful presented. Good to feel that we were not overly rushed as secret a out for the evening. Staff remained aytentive, but not overly so, for the evening.Highly recommended. Unlicensed so you need to take you own alcoholic drinks ( soft drinks can be purchased however).

We arrived at 7pm on a Sunday night and asked for a table for 2 adults, a 2 yr old and a baby. The waiter asked if we were willing to leave the pram by the bar. As our 4 month old son was sleeping in the pram I kindly asked if we could take the pram to the table. The waiter sighed and explained that the pram would take too much space in the resteraunt, which was completely empty by the way. The waiter offered us a table and said the pram, which, once again, had our baby in it, could go by the window a good few metres away. We obviously refused and went elsewhere. Considering the resteraunt had plenty of space and was completely empty, their attitude was terrible and, to be frank, odd, and I would not recommend the resteraunt.
