Reviews on Indian food in Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. Darjeeling, nestled among rolling mountains, is a perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Popular places to visit include Tiger Hill, Batasia Loop and the War Memorial, and the Himalayan Zoological Park and Snow Leopard Breeding Center. What should you bring home? Tea, tea, and more tea—and beautiful local handicrafts.

The cafe has become quite a popular hangout amongst my friends. And why not? A homely place with a decent menu and a killer view. Speaking of menu, you have to try the brownie with ice cream!Could be better with wifi. But hey, not much of a problem for the hermit souls.Thank you

A fully vegetarian restaurant, on the first floor, on the right side two min walk from Chowrasta is probably the best option for vegetarian food in Chowrasta area. The price is very reasonable, very clean, nice and prompt service, tasty food, North Indian and Chinese, hygienic to mention a few positives Visit this place if you are a vegetarian or want to take vegetarian lunch/dinner.

The Elgin is the oldest heritage hotel in Darjeeling, built in 1887, the hotel has an afternoon tea lounge and an outdoor garden gazebo serving a selection of fresh leaf Darjeeling teas & an entire afternoon tea menu, while drinks and cocktails are also s
We went to the Elgin for afternoon tea and were lucky enough to also book a seat for the Gala Xmas dinner. The afternoon tea was great, darjeeling second flush (of course) sandwiches and several types of pakora gave an Indian twist to the usual savoury fair. Then two types of cake, two types of biscuits and a scone with butter and jam. All the cakes and biscuits were home made and were delightful. The service was also fantastic and the surroundings beautiful, warm and cosy. The gala dinner started with a bonfire and cocktails with some local folk dancing, which was great. We met lots of really nice people some local and some visitors but all so friendly and welcoming, this really made the evening for us. The dinner was a continental buffet which was really well done, lots of choice as well as Christmas crackers and party hats !!! Followed by brandy flamed Christmas pudding and brandy sauce - again really nicely done. The dinner was accompanied by carols played on the piano and also by a children's band playing and singing - they were a great accompaniment to a really memorable Christmas Eve away from family and home !! Dear Sir !Namaskar!Thank you for your detailed feedback and appreciation of the property and the afternoon tea service, we are also happy about your positive experience with us in The Orchid Dining Room for the Christmas gala dinner and musical evening . Your words of praise will go a long way in encouraging us all to keep up the good work so we can continue to exceed your expectations . We do hope you will return again and give us the opportunity to serve you again .Warm regards,Mr Badal Majumdar,General Manager,The Elgin , Darjeeling Tel- +91-354-2257226/2257227Front Desk Mobile - +91- 8420199177Central Reservations- +91-33-40646300/301/22269878

Cinnamon is a multi cuisine restaurant, house on the ground floor of hotel Fairmont. Centrally located on Gandhi road, it serves the best Chinese and Indian food. Cinnamon supports its emerging local artist by providing a platform to display their work.
We ate dinner here, following Trip Advisor recommendations, and were not disappointed. Our meal comprised both meat and vegetarian choices and was delicious and reasonably priced.

A restaurant in Darjeeling where you would find an appealing mix of Indian, Chinese, Continental, Pan-Asian cuisine and the most quirky and unique environment to delight and indulge in. Where else but The Junction in Darjeeling ! It has been a favourite a
We had stayed in Summit Yasashree in December 2016 for 4 nights and had dinner every day. The continental dish was too good. Indian cuisine was also good. We had lunch one day. Thukpa was great and the quantity was good. We also had samu dashi, Bhutanese dish, which was also good. Overall the restaurant serves good food. The highlight is the restaurant staff. They are very courteous.Dear Guest,Thank you for your wondrous review on this platform. It's delightful to learn that you had a fulfilling dining experience at our specialty restaurant The Junction on all four nights of your stay at Summit Yashshree. The delectable array of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes at The Junction straddles the many culinary legacies of India. We at Summit, strive to offer the perfect blend of food, culture and style to our diners. Your kind words for the restaurant staff has been conveyed to them and they are thrilled to have served you. Located on the famous 'Mall Road' of Darjeeling, Hasty Tasty is a good fast food joint .It is purely veg. They have plenty of options though.During peak Season it gets very crowded and you will have to jostle your way to get your order. Finding a seat also gets difficult as this is a self service eatery.Food quality and taste is good but Quantity is on the lower side.opt for their Thali if you have gone for lunch .
