Situated around 125 km (78 mi) southeast of Berlin, on the River Spree, Cottbus is also a major railway junction with extensive sidings/depots. Although only a small Sorbian minority lives in Cottbus itself, the city is considered as the political and cultural center of the Sorbs in Lower Lusatia.

I was here with my family and we were greeted friendly. Drinks like tea and mango lassi were fine. I loved there was actually a good choice of vegetarian meals on the menu.The food was a rather mixed bag however. One of our group had some of the non-Indian dishes which was quite okay. Those of us who ordered the (vegetarian) Indian dishes were not as lucky. Meal sizes were okay, bread and rice as well, but the dishes lacked completely in spices and spicyness. Probably they were adapted too much to the tastes of the local people in Cottbus but Shahi Paneer gravy should be more than a bright sugary-sweet tomato cream. Prices were mid-range, rather expensive for what we got.

Zwar ist die Lage nicht die schönste, aber im Grunde ist man mitten im Zentrum. Was das Team aus der ehemaligen Molle gemacht hat, kann sich sehen lassen, auch wenn ein paar Raumteiler dem Bierhallencharme vorbeugen würden. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet: Selten so zartes Lamm gegessen - und das in sehr üppiger Menge.

Vor gut zwanzig Jahren hatte ich nach dem Besuch des Sultanas Magen-Darm-Probleme, weswegen ich lange nicht dort war. Seit 2016 besucht meine Familie das Restaurant wieder regelmäÃig. Das Essen schmeckt und man spürt, dass der Koch mit indischen Gewürzen umzugehen weiÃ. Wenn "indisch scharf" bestellt wird, ist das Gericht auch indisch scharf.
