Spending a few days at Coofs Harbour. Yesterday lunch cost me $32 for a small piece of fish on a bed of mainly lettuce leaves at a Coffs Jetty restaurant.Today diner for my wife and I cost me $35 at the Maharaja, Mooney Beach and we could not eat it all. I know where I will be eating next time we visit Coffs. The Maharaja is locTed at Mooney Beach Shopping Centre, 10 minutes drive north of Coffs. The restaurant is not flash but has a nice setting. I have read previous reports that staff were rude, not on our visit. Very quickly served with our selection of entrees. I can cook curries at home but I cannot make, samosas, pakoras, chicken tikka or nan bread. Our meals were beautiful and were large servings. We ended up taking home half the chicken tikka. Worth a visit for a good value meal. Also been told that the Mooney tavern next door is good value. The number of cRs outside would seem to bear that out. Head north for the Maharaja.
We really enjoyed a simple meal at this Indian restaurant. We ordered the Prawns Malabar and goat curry with garlic naan. It came medium hot and tasted delightful. We enjoyed it so much that we ordered rice to finish off the curry. The basmati rice added a new flavour to the curries to our pleasant surprise. Both the Australian and Indian waitresses were also very friendly and accommodating of our wishes. The best restaurant we attended in Coffs without a doubt out of the 14 restaurants we visited during our short stay in January.

Guru's philosophy is simple: To showcase the very best of Indian cuisine and culture to the Coffs Coast. "Food for us is always been an adventure, professionally its also been about putting Indian cuisine at the forefront, on a podium and on par with some
Being English Iâve found finding a good Indian challenging. A friend took us to Guruâs so didnât know what to expect. Layout & ambiance lovely, welcome nice. Menu has multiple choices from different regions so we all found dishes we liked. Portion sizes large, and boy are they delicious and not salty which a lot of Indians weâve tried tend to be. We all tried everything on the table & there wasnât one within the 10 we ordered that was not yummy. They even cooked the naan just as I asked.Bill very reasonable around $200 for drinks, and all that food..definitely a place Iâm going back to

Absolutely delicious! Butter chicken is one of the best in Coffs and the Lamb Korma was delicious too. Soft and tasty garlic naans to accompany the curries. Spot on!

6 of us had dinner here and we were not disappointed. Menu selection was great and corkage very reasonable. We opted for a seafood banquet for 4 and a normal banquet for 2 to maximise our selections. The chef forgot our pappadams, raita and mango chutney so after asking, we had them in the middle of the meal rather than before we started the entrees, but no matter. Not as packed as the other Indian nearby, so we ended up being able to hear each otherâs conversations etc.

Bombay Brasserie is located within Coffs Harbour's beachside precinct Park Beach. Originally opening as "Macauleys Restaurant" in the beginning of 2008, with Mr John Chittick & his daughter Renee, this family owned and operated restaurant did take Coffs Ha
The restaurant was quiet for a Saturday evening which was surprising given the quality of the food. The menu had the usual Indian dishes and the ones we chose were really tasty. The wine was very reasonably priced and a good selection. As a bonus the staff were lovely.

Punjab means five rivers. Each deserves a star at their confluence in this restaurant. Weâve been several times and have found it consistently good: food, service, price(?), people. Iâll know the proprietor has read this review if, when we come back, the light switch leading to the toilets has been cleaned (very bad look)!C&R
