I'm a sucker for curry goat, and this was tender in a delicious sauce. Even the rice was so good it was a shame to miss a grain. And our shared avocado-cucumber appetizer was crunchy and refreshing. The restaurant was busy but not rushed and server attentive and knowledgeable. Good wine list available by the glass. Makes us sorry we were only visiting!

Kohinoor is not a very romantic place. The decor is a bit sparse (left over from the Escobar days) and I would not take a partner or a date there for a special meal.But the food is good, the service is friendly and the prices are very reasonable for the area.So if you want a decent Indian lunch (or meal) in downtown Champaign for a very reasonable price, Kohinoor is the place to go.

This is one of the very few Indian restaurants in Champaign. We used to go to this place occasionally. The restaurant has a nice decor. The food is alright and not that expensive. Although I don't believe it serves very authentic Indian food, but I guess with little choice for Indian food, it's just fine.
