Reviews on Indian food in Bremen, State of Bremen, Germany. The second most populous town in North Germany, Bremen brings the high-tech, science and space industries together beneath a truly metropolitan backdrop. In a city where innovation, beauty and sophistication meet, it's impossible not to feel the life force. In this 1,200-year-old Hanseatic city, visit the Schlachte Promenade on the River Weser, the full-sized Columbus Space Module of the International Space Station and the Universum Science Center. Oh, and "Hanseatic" refers to an alliance of trading cities in the 13th-17th centuries. But you probably knew that.

My mum and I went from other reviews and got the tram from city centre (no 2) which stops right by. It it set back off the road by a bike shop. Popadoms were complimentary. Rice and small nan came as part as the meal. Lots of rice, and meal sizes good. Both lamb and chicken very tender. Worth a visit. Two meals plus two large soft drinks came to 35 euro.

We were pleasantly surprised to see an Indian Restaurant, Shalimar in Bremen on our visit here. We were happier to visit the place and enjoy the authentic Indian cuisine there. Their décor inside is Rajasthani and looks exquisite. They serve soups, salad, various specialities of Vegetarian, Chicken, Lamb, Fish etc. They are known for their Tikkas and Kababs. We enjoyed their non-vegetarian Platter which comprised three types of Chicken curry with rice and roti; as well as Vegetarian Thali (Platter) which had Okra, Paneer (Cottage cheese). They were delicious. The staff are courteous and helpful. We were greeted and offered tasty complimentary Masala Tea. An enjoyable experience.

As in a similar review, I can only compare the food to what we have in England where there numerous Indian restaurants in every town. However putting the food aside the service was abysmal, time to take the drinks order (and 2nd order), the starters came too quickly after we finally got the drinks. Don't be tempted to have an Indian when in Bremen wait until you get back.

I loved it! Nice location at a small harbour especially when itâs sunny. My Curry Chicken was tasty and for 8,50⬠fair priced. The veggie curry was ok but not more, definitely something like more vegetable was missing. There is only selfservice, so the personal we meet were friendly but busy behind the counter. Creditcards are welcome over 10⬠charge.
