The village is situated 5 miles (8 km) west of Barnstaple. While not the largest village in England, it is amongst the most populous in Devon with a population at the 2011 census of 7,353 people. There are two electoral wards (East and West). Their joint population at the above census was 8,218. Within the parish is the fertile, low-lying Braunton Great Field, which adjoins the undulating Braunton Burrows, the Core Area in North Devon Biosphere Reserve, the largest psammosere (sand dune system) in England. It confronts the Atlantic Ocean at the west of the parish at the large beach of Saunton Sands, one of the South West's international-standard surfing beaches.

Absolutely delicious food! Good variety of dishes including vegetarian and gluten free options. The food was very tasty, fresh and the portions very generous! Only downside the place is very small with an open kitchen therefore the dining room gets smokey. Also the service could be slightly better. Would definitely recommend it for the food!

This was our first experience with Nepalese food and Wonderful food and we were pleasantly surprised. Everything tasted so fresh and light. As a healthy conscious person, I truly enjoyed every mouthful. Friendly service. If we are ever in the area again, will definitely come back.

We are staying at Warcombe Farm and wanted a takeaway that was a bit different from burgers and fish and chips. Lovely home cooked food! We ordered Chicken Curry and Thai Red Curry and both were delicious. I found this takeaway on TripAdvisor and it lives up to it's 5 star reviews. We will be camping again next year and will definitely be visiting again.
