We've used Le Raj for many years as they didn't take forever to deliver, reasonable prices and lots of chicken. With friends over we ordered from here and were very disappointed. Two wrong orders - the chicken bhuna was labelled correctly but contained chicken rogan so we had two. The pilau rice we paid for was plain. Poor quality - don't expect a big, fluffy nan. Our small garlic ones were hard and chewy. The worse thing was the tarka dahl. I've had thicker soups; it was liquid with a few lentils at the bottom. We poured it over the plain rice. I know they thin it down but this was ridiculous. Make some more! After many years it's time to say goodbye to Le Raj and try somewhere else.

This restaurant was called Zafrani's and was great. After a few years it went down hill and was changed to Rongia. Again it was poor. It was just resurrected as Anwars with a suave new owner ,same decor and the same chef I think.Against alot of local advice I gave it a chance tonight and thought a mixed grill is a good start. It was small, dried out and had a peculiar taste. I ordered two tandoori meals but only got one salad, again browning lettuce and dried cucumber. The mushroom bhaji was two desert spoons in size when I opened it......not even a third of the take away box!!! Little flavour and it was expensive!!!!Shame about this as the alternative take away (Raj) is quite poor too. I wont be going here again, unless it changes hands again. No one was more disappointed than me.

Named in honour of the 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma, the last Viceroy of the British Indian Empire, Mountbatten The Viceroys Lounge is an upmarket Indian restaurant based in the pleasant town of Bishops Stortford. More upmarket than your average I
Booked for Friday evening at peak time. Shown to our table and food and drinks order placed in good time. All had various starters lamb shish, onion bhajis, somosas and tikka all nicely presented. Mains were vibrant and full of flavour with just the right degree of spice be it accommodating a dansak served madras hot or mild. All the dishes were of substantial portion size and the bill was reasonable. We have been here many times and this ranks among the best around the area. We will be back for more.

We have been going to Ashoka for 2 years now after a local colleague recommended it, and believe it's the best option round the Hockerill Lights, including restaurants. The vegetables are just fantastic, and they even put our food in warmed pans we bring round so as not to damage the environment with too much packaging. We are delighted to have Ashoka so close by, and eat food from there on a weekly basis. We can only recommend it for value-for-money, delicious food.

Caught up with some friends from Yorkshire, who know a bit about good curry houses. They were justifiably complimentary about Zara's.Great interior decor, the staff were great and the food well ........ We talked through what we liked etc. with the waiter and he made suggestions and even made up combinations for us. For example I really fancied a nice Brirani, so I got a mixed of king prawns, lanb and chicken ... fabulous!!We all eat exactly want we wanted by 'tweeking' the menu on good advice. Our friends left Stortford next morning very well impressed. Well done guys, I wish I could name the waiter involved, but check out Monday 9th September when you served Keighly men which is where you are from!?!!

Wow I had heard Rubyâs was good but for some reason I had never visited. Well I wish I had visited earlier. We were here to celebrate a birthday and had the most amazing meal.It is more of a fine dining Indian restaurant, with curryâs served directly onto plates and not served in bowls. All of our courses were first class, good portion size and delicious. The service was prompt and friendly and the was a lovely restaurant atmosphere. The staff had sprinkled the table in happy birthday confetti and there was a celebratory ice cream and sparkler. We could not fault our meal or the service we experienced and we will certainly be visiting again.
