An authentic Indian Restaurant opened by a renowned Indian chef Anil Kumar. Food for me has always been an adventure. My aim is to convey my passion for Indian cuisine in a way which gives you a taste of perfect Indian dishes. I hope you enjoy the taste o
I went here for lunch on my birthday with my husband. What a lovely, friendly place. Not your average Indian (nothing wrong with those) but beautiful presentation and little extra titbits served between courses made it a cut above. Very attentive but not intrusive staff. Clean, pleasant, excellent value for money. We were invited to have extra naans or rice but struggled to eat what we had been given. I had the specials (calves liver starter and halibut main and my husband had the squid starter and halibut main) and the fixed price lunch menu. Would definitely recommend.

Been here many times with friends begrudgingly I should add. The food is overly greasy , all the same colour and taste. Usually end up with a bad belly. The last visit will be our last thankfully. We left early as we all suffered almost instant belly ache.Avoid

We were staying at The Foxhunter Park and itâs tradition to try the local Indian takeaway on the first night. the restaurant is just down the road from the park, in the village with planets of parking. The staff were very polite, friendly and comical too. I couldnât decide what to have, so they asked what I normally have, boring korma or masala but getting fed up with creamy dishes. The advised a Rogan, and boy was I not disappointed, it was soooo good Iâm making myself want another whilst writing this. My husband is a bit of a curry conisuer and he said that this was the best he had ever had. Would highly recommend and most definitely go back when in the area again.

I visited the Tajmahal that allegedly got 4.5 stars on the 19/8/2018 and found a very humorous waiter (not). Spoke to some people next to us who said the food was great. I now think they needed to get their taste buds in order although the service was below average, the food was diabolical. I am sure there is no tandoor oven in the kitchen and the variety of spices in the cupboard, as our two very different meals were dished up and tasted exactly the same. We didnt even have a clean table. Just seems to me they just put clean serviettes on top of the old table. So I hope this brings it down to one star. I will never go to this restaurant again. From a true indian food lover. A big big thumbs down.

Visited on a Friday night with family. This is a great addition to Westgate. It may be a 5 min walk from the town, but it is worth it. The food was excellent and cooked fresh. The service very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Beer/Wine about £4 a glass, great value. I am really pleased that a Bangladeshi restaurant has opened 10 mins from my house and also pleased to not feel rushed when eating. We will be back.

Incredibly rude manager: arrived to an empty restaurant (bar two tables) and requested a table for two. Obnoxious and abrasive manager offered us a table with chairs not facing one another. When we asked politely if we could move the chairs he declined and was equally rude when we asked if we could sit at a table for four, claiming that he had people coming (7:30 on a Monday night, town is deserted). Never have I encountered such rude service; he then told us he had no table to offer us! Promptly left. Take your business elsewhere! 0 stars.

Epic as always, must be two years since last visited the restaurant but this time had to collect as have acquired a new grand daughter. The food was spot on and they even noticed my ordering mistake. I ordered online chicken tikka and they phoned us up to see if we meant the masala, which we did.

Been coming here for 15 years and found the service is either really attentive or non-existent.On this occasion an incredibly arrogant waiter whom I've not seen there before argued with me when I politely requested, as I always do, no butter on our naan breads; telling me the restaurant has never and would never butter naan. They do, said I; and I frequently have to return it because my request to not receive it is ignored. We don't do it, he responded; then walked off. Had this been my first ever visit to the place I'd have walked out at that point. Hey presto the naan was indeed slathered in butter when it arrived. We managed to get the attention of Mr Attitude, eventually, who snapped that he had told the kitchen not to (he hadn't) and later brought over some un-buttered bread and dumped it without a word. The waiting staff are lovely, if sometimes overwhelmed when busy hence occasional really slow service. So I'm sure they'll be able to identify who this unpleasant individual is. Get rid of him, he does your business no favours. Other than sometimes problematic service the food is generally sound, if rather weak when it comes to vegetarian offerings. Nice decor and you don't feel rushed to eat and leave.

Flavours has one drawback - itâs setting. It sits in a rather unimpressive row of shops about a mile out of town on the road to Canterbury. The restaurant itself, largely unchanged since Kumar moved in, is a little disappointingly dowdy - like so many âIndianâ establishments. But the FOOD is outstanding! Tasty, subtly flavoured, beautifully presented. Over the last two years I have eaten every single item on the menu and have always been delighted. Furthermore, the service is impeccable.Would Flavours benefit from being resited in Margateâs Old Town, or would Margateâs new-found popularity benefit from spreading to the outlying areas? I donât know. But this restaurant should not be missed.

I have often eaten in Tandoori Nite and each time I have received good service , lovely food and itâs reasonably priced. There is plenty of choice on the menu of both mains and side dishes . It is worth booking as it does get rather busy.
