18 of us booked into the restaurant for a Thursday evening of curry and cobra. A 9 a side table laid out for us. The staff very much on top of things with drinks and a trolley of starters. All very good - king prawn purée - bhajis - tikka - samosa. Our mains were ordered and again all very good flavours from korma -korai - madras - jalfrezi and vindaloo. The beer and drinks flowed nicely a tasty 3 hours spent. Seemed very full with other tables of 2’s and 4’s and I apologise if we was too loud for anyone. Would def return in a smaller group as I know the food and service would be excellent.

Jehan Curry Hut in Brentwood is serving up the finest Indian and Nepalese cuisine you could think of, all in a fun yet sophisticated atmosphere. If you’re looking for a new spot to eat next curry night, then head on down to South Street in the town centre
Our food here was excellent and made freshly but quickly. It was a Wednesday night and so pretty empty but there was little atmosphere which is a shame but can be worked on as the food is worth 5/5. Thanks for the awesome review, Nicki! We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and we’re happy to hear that you enjoyed your meal, Wednesday is middle of the week therefore it's not that busy night for us but please visit us on weekends we hope you will see the beautiful atmosphere at jehan curry hut. Looking forward to see you soon. Management.

Went for early dinner not having eaten there for years. Service was very good, papadoms and dips excellent.Mixed starters little bit disappointing. Peschwari Nan and rice very good. Chicken Korma, dry chewy chicken, sauce bit fake.Lamb jalfrezi, small bits of lamb, again a bit chewyDahl curry bit strange.Considering the good reviews, maybe we were unlucky, will give it another try some time in the future

This was the first time I have been here for years. I suggested here as I used to live round the corner. The food was good then and thankfully it still is.The parking can be a problem since Tescos is now in the same row of shops.

4 of us(two couples) in for dinner and enjoyed it all very much. Lovely atmosphere inside in what is a 16th century Tudor building - all authentic.Good service and all the food was well presented. They do an evening special with 1 starter and 1 main plus rice or naan for £11.75. No skimping on the portions. We had a duck starter, a king plan starter and some spiced mushrooms .Mains were chicken dhansak, a veg curry, lamb dopiasa and a chicken dopiasa plus pulau rice. All nicely cooked , very tasty and not overly spicy.Good service.

When asked for a recommendation, this was always my place of choice but never again. Indifferent staff, sneezing into hands and not washing them. Awful service, treated like we were an inconvenience. Tried several times to get waiters attention, for glasses, drinks, even plates! and only three tables were occupied. Chewy tough lamb most of which was left, we brought it to their attention, it was met with a shrug and still on the bill. It was a regular for friends meal but won’t be going back.

have been using the Bayleaf for our Friday night take-away treat meal for years. It is always very consistent high quality food. Always freshly cooked and delivered hot and delicious - would not use any other take away in the area.

We came here with our 2 kids after reading some excellent reviews on trip advisor & we wasn’t disappointed! The restaurant itself is very like a laid back chilled cafe vibe which we love! The menu isn’t your typical Indian menu as people would know! There are some same dishes though! But it was a varied menu for all tastes with authentic flavours! Our kids had the butter chicken & loved it my daughter said it was the best butter chicken she’s ever had I could of tried quite a lot of the starters as they all sounded nice! For main we had the tandoori mix grill and was beautiful, it was very well cooked with lots of yummy flavour! We also had a medium spiced chicken curry (can’t remember the name) which was also very nice with lots of flavour but was just a bit too spicy for me although I still ate it as it tasted lovely! it was my own fault as I should of asked for it to not be too hot! The naan breads were one of the best We’ve ever tasted the service was brilliant & friendly! We will definitely be coming back! Thanks very much for providing the feedback. Glad kids equally loved their meal; happy little ones equate to happy parents! We look forward to welcome you back soon, and big cheers for spreading the word about our flavoursome food and service.

It’s never good when you spend £40 and think- ‘It would have been better and cheaper making the curry myself!’ Terrible service! Called to place an order and was told delivery was over an hour wait, however collection was just 30min. I drove to collect the food, arriving 35 minutes after ordering...I was then left waiting another 35 minutes until I finally received the food. Every time I asked how long till the food was ready I was just told ‘in a minute’. Very frustrating when I could see all the staff in the kitchen window standing around talking and doing nothing. Once I finally got my food, I wish I could say I enjoyed it, however the chicken was chewy, dry and fatty and the rice was cold and just tasted of onion, which is disappointing when i ordered it to be coconut. I do NOT recommend.

Indian Home Dining Specialist Mouthwatering Indian and Bengali food cooked fresh and delivered straight to your door! Please use our website or call us today, you won't be disappointed.
Had a takeaway last night which arrived spot on time. Food was great as usual, a variety of dishes with first timers eating who were also very impressed with the quality.Just one suggestion, please throw in free popadoms. This is the only Indian I have ever come across that doesn’t do this which is a tad disappointing. However not enough to knock the rating down as we do love having this on our doorstep.
