With certain food allergies, this restaurant was the only place we could go for a dinner in Mount Dandenong. They were able to explain their food well and accommodated us by offering the best menu items. Delicious traditional Indian cuisine and very friendly staff.

Nevedya is an organic vegetarian cafe, serving food created with love to nourish the heart and body.
It's hard to imagine improving on what Nevedya has to offer: this stonkingly good vegetarian and vegan cafe has it all. As soon as one walks in the door it's clear you're in for something special: the interior is beautifully decorated in deep, warm earthy tones with utterly delightful organic wooden furniture throughout; everywhere the eye rests is a treat. Coffee is simply splendid (even the soy, which I've never seen curdled here), and served in lovely satisfying mugs that demand to be hugged on chilly days. The menu, however, is the true star of the show: varied, exciting and utterly delicious. We've been back several times now, and from the crispy cheesy mushroom dosa to the complex and filling za'atar and feta scrambled eggs and the hearty and satisfying curry special, everything is just indecently tasty. You'll never want to eat anything else.Everything is organic and ethically sourced (just ask about the happy cows from whom their milk comes!). The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with lovely ambient music at just the right volume, and the staff are friendly and joyous.Nevedya is a wonderful spot. Couldn't recommend it more.

Stopped in here for dinner tonight and ordered the dishes they are famous for, lamb Rogan josh and butter chicken. It did not disappoint, beautiful flavours and tender meat. Quick to get our food. The only downside is the music, it was creepy! Would recommend the food highly. 2 mains, 2 garlic naan, glass of wine was about $50 so great value.

Our family of 8 came for dinner including several little kids. The staff were obliging and allowed us to make more room by adding another table. We ordered an entree platter, butter chicken and rice, dhal and naan and all of it was very very good. If I lived closer I would definitely come back. And it's licensed and BYO!

Authentic Indian Cuisine. All of our ingredients are selected to enhance and complement our extensive menu selections. We only use fresh vegetables and greens, top grade lean meats, a blend of local and imported spices and cholesterol free oil. All dishes
We hadn't visited Saffron for a number of years, since they were in the quaint WB cottage . But a late night home from work saw an Indian craving.Ordered a pork belly entree , and despite explaining to owner I had to travel a bit before getting home and would this dish be ok she said yes , it was served in a cardboard box on lettuce & tomato and was tough cold & limp .Butter chicken was so so - way more sauce than chicken . Lamb ok but the same more sauce than lamb. Rice was rice , naan bread plain & bland. Nothing exciting so disappointing , price for 2 - $54 takeaway . See much better value elsewhere. hello, yes I remember taking your order, and I did mention that it was ok to travel , pork belly is marinated and cook in the tandoor oven and it is an entre' we serve it in a recycle take away box with a garnish of greens. all you needed to do was to heat up the food when you get to a destination. all our main meals are priced and weighed at 220 to 250 gram of meat only before sauce. many others love their curries saucy and it is never enough for them. have you been to shops lately to check out prices? we have not hiked our prices for 3 years now and you say it is expensive to have a freshly cooked good meat? ok then iam sorry I can not do better than that. .happy to be in business for 23 years on still strive to give the best and nothing but the best. unfortunately I can not please every one. may be that is the reason you have not visited us in 5 years . as that's how long we have moved from the old place. hope you will find a better place and there are so many of them around now.

Took our 93 year old grandmother here for lunch on a day trip to the Dandenongs. Delicious authentic South Indian food. Took advantage of their 2-for-1 Thali in the Trees midweek lunch offer which made it incredible value. Chai Masala was a good way to finish off the meal. Would give it 5* were it not for the toilets which could really do with some tlc:)Hi MjkensThanks so much for the great review, so glad your grandma enjoyed it too. We've actually extended the restaurant since your visit, with a new disability friendly bathroom for customers and 50 more seats. We knew our staff toilet was outdated but would never deny customers to use it. We hope to see you again and wish you well. Babajis Kitchen

Been here several times and it's always very good. Friendly service and delicious food. Large portions, but that doesn't stop us ordering starters and then groaning at being too full! Onion Bahjis and tandoori mushrooms excellent as starters. Plenty of vegetarian options too. Good paratha. This time we had palak paneer and lamb boohna. Both excellent. Beers and wine available. Well worth a visit.
