Reviews on Indian food in Belem, Central Portugal, Portugal. Just four miles from the center of Lisbon, Belem (or Santa Maria de Belem) is best known for Belem Tower (or Torre), a 16th-century fortified lighthouse built to guard the port. This was, after all, the port from which famous Portuguese navigators like Vasco de Gama set off to explore the world. The area is also home to Belem Palace, built in the 16th century by King Manuel and now the official residence of Portugal’s president. Belem is also home to the magnificent Jerónimos Monastery.

Well, i was craving indian food travelling through Portugal. Found this place through tripadvisor. Having travelled across europe, i was prepared for an underwhelming indian food experience. Because most of the so called indian restaurants are run by makeshift chefs who Pakistanis or bangladeshis. Boy! This place is amazing, authentic and a culinary delight. The twin brothers who run this place are extremely hospitable.I had chicken batli with naan, with 4 fresh green chillies...mouth watering and out of the world. The spices were well balanced, curry was excellent. Very highly recommend.Especially desis like me visiting portugal, if you crave for desi khana, this is the place.

we came for early dinner and were promptly seated. the staff speak English and were able to advise on the menu. we ordered buttered chicken and onion bajis which were yummy and a good option for the kids who don't eat any spice. The Dal makhani was delicious as well with garlic Naan. The lamb biryani was on the spicy side even though it's mild and i expected the lamb to be softer. i advise to order it with chicken instead. We all ate well and found this restaurant to be good value for money. we would be regulars if we lived in Lisbon.

This restuarant is an absulete no go for Goan food lovers. Sorpatel was nothing but made up shredded meat. Caferal was with overload of Vinegar. I was absultely disapointed..Hi , I am sorry to know that our food was not of your taste because you are not a real Goan. But you are the only one who says the opposite. All our Clients adore our food. And is not because of your bad review that people will stop comming
