Monsoon Poon is a busy, bustling, noisy place but it has great atmosphere and great food. Everything including the decor is Asian fusion. We really enjoyed the curry puffs - best I've ever had and a wonderful goat curry. Service was very good. Highly recommended.

We have chosen to present some of the more characteristic, yet legendary dishes from North India, especially the Punjab. Our preparation makes our food beautiful to behold and addictive to the palate.
The restaurant is very popular amongst tourists and locals alike. It has a great variety of food both Veg and Non Veg in their menu. The dishes were delicious. A must visit for authentic Indian food. Mind you, there may be requirement of pre-booking because of the rush.

I visited the restaurant with my family. We were amazed by the service and their excellent food. Kids loved the chicken chowmein and chocolate naan. We had the lamb choyla and goat biryani and both the dishes were so delicious. Writing this review about the food brings water in my mouth :)We will definitely visit the awesome restaurant again, soon!

Cooking 25 years. Cheap eats in the heart of Auckland CBD. Asian style street food. Cooked fresh to your order, served hot to your table. Open 7 days, fully licensed, Everyone welcome!
This is mainly Asian street foodJapanese Korean Malaysian IndianWe had Malaysian Laksa because we adore it. It was nicely spiced with thai paste, coconut sauce, noodles, tofu and chicken. The portions are huge and you are given a spoon and chopsticks. It isn't posh at all. Canteen type tables and chairs and you find your own table definitely no airs and graces. Each portion was $12 ...... 6 English pounds. You can get drinks there too. There is a clean toilet upstairs.

Cassia is a modern Indian restaurant by award winning Chef Sid Sahrawat of Sidart.
Not your typical Indian restaurant, this is more modern European fusion cooking with an Indian twist. We have been to his other 2 restaurants: Sidart & Sid at the French Cafe, both at or near the top of Auckland restaurants for fine dining.Cassia is still fine dining, but in a more relaxed manner. The food pops with flavour, presentation, quality and service were excellent. Very hard to faultSummary - yes will definitely go again

So, after going through multiple reviews, this place caught my attention. It took us a long time to find it , but once in , our orders were taken quickly and food bought out , so service was fine .But , the food was very average !! The chicken dosa was nothing to write home about !!The samosa was just wrong !!Will i come here again- NO !!Hi NrsaranNot sure what you meant by samosa was just wrong, however from your other reviews it is clear that you like Indian restaurants that use food colours and MSG...We refuse to lower to that level just to make dishes something to write home about. The food at Ela is safe, even for people with multiple allergies as we use the high quality predominantly organic ingredients and hence the multiple reviews ascertain it is anything but average.
