Discover Restaurants offering the best Healthy food in Verona, Province of Verona, Italy. So splendid was medieval Verona that its reputation alone inspired Shakespeare to set two plays here (Romeo and Juliet and The Two Gentlemen of Verona). Though its connection to the actual Capulets is tenuous at best, the so-called Juliet's House draws half a million tourists per year, many of them keen on reenacting the balcony scene. Don't miss the Roman amphitheater and the Palazzo Barberi.

The kitchen with the excellence of simple harmony and good health.
We went to this restaurant purely for its TripAdvisor recommendations but were very disappointed. I have no doubt that certain "foodies" love it. They probably love the way the food is presented in a certain style and the way it is cooked to "perfection" but for us it was a dreadful experience.Stefano was very attentive and took time to explain the dishes which comprised roughly of four dishes for each course. My wife chose mixed salad, which she enjoyed, and I went for the "fish surprise from Lake Garda". Now I felt I was listening attentively to the course explanation but I do not once recall Stefano telling me that the fish was going to be raw.The dish comprised of some chopped lettuce, some pureed pea and a glutinous blob of chopped raw fish. I ate it but I had a dreadful night's sleep which needed me to be sitting upright in bed.We then went for the rack of lamb as the main course. I asked Stefano if thid came with potatoes but he explained that he didn't do potatoes, only pureed potatoes. I replied that we really liked potatoes and so the lamb came, four chops on a rack, sitting on some rosemary accompanued with two leaves of soggy spinach type veg and pureed potatoes, again in a blob.I finished it in a couple of minutes. We weren't going to have dessert. We'd had enough.Accompanied with a bottle of rose, this meal for two came to â¬100 and we hadn't even had dessert and coffee. For some this would be a fine dining experience. For my wife and I this was a total rip off.We ate in some other wonderful restaurants in Verona that were unforgettable. This was a complete disappointment and would not recommend it to anyone.Dear Mr. Knapdog,Tripadvisor is, definitely, extremely powerful when it advises its readers about the best options in town. But I strongly believe that this instrument should be used more as an help to choose the right place for each of us, the one which best suits our own needs. Otherwise as in your case, you get disappointed cause you are more concentrated on the final valuation than on the real philosophy of the place in question. You shall consider that the most negative Tripadvisor reviews (four ones) had been written from guests who were not in our restaurant at all. Should you just have read more carefully, maybe you would have not gone for Mondodoro. As I can see from your comments, I have explained attentively the dishes for each course. And I remember having introduced you the âFish Surprise from Lake Gardaâ as âFish Tartareâ. When you are talking of âtartareâ in the culinary field it is intended that the ingredient is raw, it doesn't mind whether it is meat or fish. Obviously if you eat a âLavarello Tartareâ without being satisfied, certainly the rack of lamb could not be fulfilling as well. Coming to know it now, of course, I can do nothing. If you had told me during the dinner I would have for sure changed the dish proposing you something else and you would have lived the experience in a different way that night. On this occasion I would like to spend a few words about the potatoes your asked for. We are hardly using them as ingredient, except for one or two dishes, as the culinary philosophy of Mondodoro is based on lighter dishes, not particularly fat. And if you want to cook excellent roasted potatoes you have to make them exactly the opposite way. Finally I believe you surely understand the quality of what you have eaten in our restaurant but you would have preferred perhaps a more important quantity; as you certainly know quantity and quality never get along, though.Honestly I do not read rage in your review, but a bitterness originated from a dish you do not love at all, a thing that could be solved having a word between me and you at that time. In this sense Iâm sorry you didnât like Mondodoro and devalued it on Tripadvisor. And referred to the cost of the meal, should you have been happy with us, it would have been relative.Beyond anything Iâm not feeling offended and if you ever find yourself in Verona I would be very pleased if you come and say hello in friendship.Last but not least Iâm thanking you for your review, as you have given me the chance to explain a little bit better both some main aspects of my activity and the philosophy on which it is based.Best regards,Stefano, owner

Typical Italian cuisine from Romagna. Piadine and rolls filled with fresh ingredients every day. Come and enjoy the tipical Italian tastes. We are at the Verona Arena entrance Artists, to go to the Giulietta house.
Extremely kind people. I love when I can find great quality food and so nice welcome :) They have a huge choice of piadinas and rolls. Ingredients are fresh and bufala is amazing!

This restaurant was actually recommended to us by our hotel and it didn't meet expectations. We expected a dimly lit, romantic restaurant with amazing seafood. We got overpriced, average tasting and small portions with a bright room with no music or people for that matter. The seafood tower was not a tower at all but a few pieces of very fishy samples. The rest of our dishes were just ok. For the price, I would say try something else.
