Winslow's Home

Winslow's Home is a decidedly relaxed atmosphere that serves some seriously great things. We are at once a cafe, espresso bar, bakery and private events space set in the middle of a contemporary general store. While breakfast and lunch orders are taken at

The quality of the food is excellent, and the service is pretty good. I love the Winslow's Burger. The meat is tender and it is quite tasty and juicy. Also, the bakery has exquisite pastries.

I have been to multiple franchises of First Watch. They offer good diner/breakfast food, and they have been great about keeping up with breakfast trends. So they’ve added healthier food items like avocados and kale smoothies to their menu. This is definitely the place I go to for breakfast food..for now..

We enjoyed multiple small bites at BARcelona. For three of us, we ordered 5 dishes and it was perfect. Everything we ordered was very tasty. The mushrooms, meatballs, chicken/ham croquettes and two potato dishes. We had the tres leches for dessert. The service was awesome. Super friendly and our food was in front of us in about 2 minutes! Definitely worth a visit.

Cafe Osage

This is a must stop especially for breakfast. A colleague and I were passing through town and wanted a good spot to eat. I don't know how we actually found this place but I am glad we did. The cafe shares some space with a plant shop and another restaurant and doesn't really look like a restaurant from the street. No neon, no big signs. We decided to sit at the bar and I am glad we did as we encountered a very friendly young lady named Jamie who was tending bar that morning. She was very friendly informed of the menu and a delight to speak with. I started out with coffee and it is very good coffee. They serve real sugar cubes and cream with your coffee. We started off with buttermilk biscuits and they were amazing. They come with ricotta, honey, bee pollen and a little jam. They were very tasty and the jam was delicious. I actually had a shrub also. It is a very unique beverage that is fruity, sparkly and a touch sour. It was my first and I liked it. I had a simple breakfast of eggs, sausage, fried potatoes and a pancake. Everything was prepared very well and tasty. The pancakes came with a cherry compote and maple syrup. The cherry compote was so tasty. The entire breakfast was simple but expertly prepared. I am very sorry that I am not in St. Louis more often as I would probably be there at least once a week. I cannot wait to go back!
