Touching Belgium on its west and just a few miles from Germany to the east, Maastricht is the capital of Holland’s southernmost region, Limburg. A town rich in history and culture, Maastricht boasts two wonderful town squares: Vrijthof, with Sint-Servaas Church, Sint-Jan's Cathedral and many bars, cafes and restaurants; and Markt, home to the town hall and, on Wednesday and Friday mornings, a fantastic vendor market. RESTAURANT DANYEL The name says it all: French influences, French music, French cuisine. The joie de vivre in Maastricht. In addition to my frequently changing menu card, I offer you my Carte Blanche concept. You tell me how many courses I can cook for yo
So pleased we discovered this jewel of a restaurant. Chef Daniel van den Bongard was welcoming and creative, coming up with exquisite dishes after personally asking us about our preferences. It's definitely a good idea to give him free reign in composing the menu. We will not easily forget the dessert, a Lagavulin whiskey parfait. Even if you're not a whiskey drinker, you won't be sorry. We look forward to going back!

I decided to leave this review because the staff (Marisa) has been excellent. I ordered a customized club sandwich 2 months ago (delicious) and after 2 months Marisa remembered exactly my order (and I swear was not easy to remember). In general the place is always perfect, good food, good atmosphere and good music, but the staff makes the difference. Highly recommended in Maastricht. Thanks Marisa.CF13Thank you for the wonderful review! Marissa says hi and we hope to see you again soon. :)

Unique concept where a day time shopping experience is combined with a lunch (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and diner restaurant. But where is the entrance?? and what is behind that door....? First of all pass by our "Shop" for a nice sandwich, Italian - o
Surprisingly hidden away behind an old butchers shop. When entering through the steel fridge door into a lovely industrial decorated retaurant. Escorted by the owner to some great seats at the bar overlooking the open kitchen area. Lovely menu wich showcases mostly the local cuisine, very well presented dishes that are prepared right in front of you. Amazing ambience, great selection of wines make the evening complete. Definitely a great addition to the Maastricht culinary scene.
This is a nice and cozy place with very friendly staff and service. There is a beautiful long table, which supports conversation. We had bread with smoked salmon and monkey pancakes which was both pretty tasty. There is a "all day breakfast" offer. We were there with our < 1 year child and could use a high chair. There was also enough space for our buggy.Danke sehr!

We are serving pure taste, all home made Only the best products and this all made with love and passion.
Very cosy restaurant in the neighbourhood of Wyck. The restaurant is run by the chef and his wife and serves very nice steak, fish and original starters. As a starter try the shrimp in a signature sauce... superb.

it is always a blind adventure when you go for a surprise menu. Here you can choose between a 4-8 course surprise dinner by the chef. I went for the 4 course one.Since a very long time I didn't experience such a nice, tasty, surprisingly good and high quality dinner which I really enjoyed during the evening, accompanied by a set wine arrangement from Limburgian wines from the region. This was really superb, my sincere compliments for the chef. Relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff. No question that I fully recommend this restaurant, don't forget to make a reservation!Thank you so much for this review! I have given your compliments to the chef! We would like to see you again next time!

Such a groovy little spot. Nestled amongst the garden and stylish inside. Highlight however was the menu and the food. We went for lunch one day and back again for brunch the next day as we loved it so much. Food as really fresh and made with love and care. Generous portions too. Highly recommended.
