A proper local restaurant offering great food at fair prices and very flexible when looking after my gluten free wife. Veal and tomato salad winners but the croquettas truly historic! We try our best to cater for all tastes and all dietary requirements and we are delighted your wife could enjoy her meals. It was a pleasure to serve you and the greatest compliment you could pay us was that you came back; not only once, but twice more in such a short space of time!We are truly grateful for the positive feedback given in your review, which in turn inspires us to work harder. We look forward to seeing you again next time you are in town. Vegan restaurant with a daily menu (12,50â¬) and à la carte. Freshly cooked, healthy food. Preference for organic products. Great atmosphere. Terrace. English speaking staff.
Vegan is relatively new to Spain; even so, we had a good meal. My husband and I both had burgers made from soy and seitan. It was accompanied by fresh, hand cut fries. The service was very nice as well. Only slight complain.... bun was a little hard and could have used some additional condiments. We would definitely eat here again, if given the opportunity.

We wanted a sit down meal first night in Logrono to get our bearing before heading out the subsequent night for PINXOS! What really sold this place was the extensive wine list which where represented on the second floor of the building in a shop/wine bar from which you could choose with a small corkage. We made a reservation for 830 and arrived shortly after. Upon arrival we where told that three of their 8 entries where not available, and later worked out that the fish main that all of my group wanted was not available either in addition there where no specials... So their short menu was considerably shorter which was compounded as our group is pescaterian. We ended up ordering just three entres to share, as is the intention of the menu, entres to share. Ordered wine to accompany to be told it was not available also.It must be noted the whole time the staff where diligent and friendly although they didn't speak any English (which I don't mind at all as we got by with a mix of limited Spanish and French). In the end I was left with a feeling that they shouldn't have bothered opening on the Tuesday if they weren't committed to stocking for their menu.. It wasn't like the place was empty. Every seat in the restaurant and wine bar was occupied along with many coming and goings in the PINXOS bar down stairs. In the end the food was fair if not a little pricey. Three entres three glasses of wine and three bottles of water came in at 60euros including a small tip. I suppose what really annoyed me is that I went there to break the bank on an amazing bottle of preferably 2005 Rioja reserva, I was happy to pay over 50euro a bottle and because the menu was so limited I couldn't justify it...

TEMPORARY CLOSED - The Kabanova restaurant is temporarily closed since April 2019. The reopening is estimated to be 1st November.
We have been fortunate to dine in Michelin-starred restaurants and in the States, even have James Beard Award nominated chefs prepare private dinners for us (if you are not familiar with them, the James Beard Award is the restaurant industry's equivalent of an Oscar Award in the movies). Our evening at Kabanova was easily as memorable as any of those meals and was possibly the culinary highlight of our trip! Each course was not only delicious, but also as imaginative as anything we've enjoyed. Add to that a white Rioja from Bodegas Abel Mendoza that the staff recommended and was so delicious we tracked down four bottles to bring back to the States and you can understand why we loved the evening so much. I'll admit that the notion of an all-woman run restaurant in Spain was a neat curiosity that drew me to make a reservation but it truly comes down to the fact that if you are a dining aficionado, you MUST dine here when visiting Rioja.Hi WineTraveller, many thanks for your kind opinion! Appreciate much those incredible words, we are so excited to know you enjoyed the visit and, above all, to have been a memorable experience for you, this is the biggest prize for our team and the gastronomic proposal on which we are working every day!Nice to know you and happy to see you back in the future! Greetings
