Coco Cálala is a great option for breakfast and lunch in Leon. My family frequents this place often, taking advantage of the delicious food and lovely pool. The menu is different from anything else in the city. They have a great selection of vegetarian and vegan choices and they can accommodate gluten free orders as well. I have tried most of the offerings on the menu and each item is delicious. My current favorite is the Yucca Brava and kombucha.

With 43 different varieties of drinks, there is something for everyone. There are drinks made with yogurt, ice cream, protein powder, and/or milk. Some are made only with fruits, while a few contain herbs and vegetables. All are delicious! My son loved the Exotico and the Cerro Negro. I liked the Refresh, Seduccion, and Maratón de Guanabana. There are still several batidos that I want to try. Next time!!

A nice and rustic interior, more than decent food and a sympathetic staff. But the reason why I write this is to spread the word on the "Limonada Casa Vieja". I guess it's quite simply a lemonade with additional mint herbs, tastes something like a non-alcohol mojito. And it's just really really fresh and good. Probably the only time I write a review based solely on a lemonade. But it's worth it.

Place with potential - nice small place. Food - sandwiches - quite expensive given the quality - 120-150 cordobas for dry baguette with some vegetables and almost no chicken ;/ 3*** only as this is first review of this place and maybe needs some feedback to improve.
