I had dinner here with a friend as our usual restaurant was closed for refurbishment. We were delighted with the food here, it was delicious and the portions were very generous. The waitress was really friendly and helped us with our choices. The Turkish music added atmosphere and authenticity, but was on a loop so became a little monotonous after a while. It was such a shame that the restaurant was so quiet, a few more customers would have added some atmosphere, so I can thoroughly recommend. Well worth trying!

Grill 48 is only a two minute walk to Carnegie Hall, and offers a pre-show menu which provides some enjoyable food, including buffalo meat from a nearby farm. The venue is an expanded pub in an old stone walled building, possibly a merchant's house in times gone by.The menu is solid with grills and burgers plus other offerings, and there is a short but enticing wine list. From the various additions to the menu, it is evident that the grill also hosts some musical entertainments at various times. The tables are located around the wall and up a spiral staircase, and the atmosphere is congenially quaint.
