Inverkeithing (/ˌɪnvərˈkiːðɪŋ/ listen (help·info)) is a town and a royal burgh, and parish, in Fife, Scotland, located on the Firth of Forth. According to population estimates (2006), the town has a population of 5,265. The port town was given burgh status by King David I of Scotland (1124–53) in the 12th century and is situated about 9 miles (15 km) north from Edinburgh Airport and about 4 miles from the centre of Dunfermline. Modern Inverkeithing is almost continuous with Rosyth and Dalgety Bay. Inverkeithing is a developing town and has many new housing sites including one next to the town's railway station.

I had dinner here with a friend as our usual restaurant was closed for refurbishment. We were delighted with the food here, it was delicious and the portions were very generous. The waitress was really friendly and helped us with our choices.The Turkish music added atmosphere and authenticity, but was on a loop so became a little monotonous after a while. It was such a shame that the restaurant was so quiet, a few more customers would have added some atmosphere, so I can thoroughly recommend. Well worth trying!

Lovely little cafe, tucked away in the Cross Wynd. Food is so fresh and homemade.Good selection to please everyone, and the staff are friendly and efficient, recommend you visit them soon.

Grill 48 is only a two minute walk to Carnegie Hall, and offers a pre-show menu which provides some enjoyable food, including buffalo meat from a nearby farm. The venue is an expanded pub in an old stone walled building, possibly a merchant's house in times gone by.The menu is solid with grills and burgers plus other offerings, and there is a short but enticing wine list. From the various additions to the menu, it is evident that the grill also hosts some musical entertainments at various times.The tables are located around the wall and up a spiral staircase, and the atmosphere is congenially quaint.
