Find out what Healthy restaurants to try in Dublin. You've probably heard that Guinness tastes better in Dublin (fresh from the factory), but what you may not know is that Dublin is a perfect destination for the whole family. No, we're not suggesting you let the kiddies drink a pint. Instead, take them to the Dublin Zoo, to feed the ducks in Stephen's Green or on a picnic in Phoenix Park. Scholars enjoy walking in the literary footsteps of such writers as Yeats and Joyce, while discerning shoppers have their pick of designer boutiques.

The concierge in our hotel recommended this restaurant when we were unsuccessful getting reservations at a more popular traditional Irish restaurant. We made reservations for 7:30 via OpenTable. We arrived a few minutes early and were seated immediately. The restaurant was buzzing with groups of locals apparently just off from work. The noise level was high. Something that would usually turn me off, but there was a certain energy that made me feel we were part of a friendly gathering. If you are looking for a quiet conversation, you might book at off peak times. However, you will miss the true ambiance of this restaurant. Our server greeted us promptly and took our drink order. We perused the menu and our drinks arrived. I suggest that you view the menu online as I did. We placed an order for Prawn Lollipops as a starter. I ordered the Halibut and my wife the steak. My side dish was tomatoes, avocado, and olives. My wife chose polenta and mushrooms. The true magic began when the starter arrived. The prawn were partially cooked on a skewer. In the middle of the plate was a very hot rectangular stone. Our server instructed us to heat the prawns on either side for about two minutes. They sizzled and became delicious. Perfect. Our entrees arrive in like manner, ready to heat up on individual stones. All of the food was delicious. Each dish having sauces or extras that enhanced the taste.Even if you are full, check out the unique deserts. All in all the food and service was superb. It is hard to describe the entire dinner experience other than saying it was Simply Wonderful

Our very helpful bartender, Robert, at the Radisson Blu recommended Platform 61. When arriving, we descended down the stairs to this charming restaurant. There were 5 people in our group and we were immediately seated at 7 pm without a reservation. The signature peach cocktail with champagne foam was delicious and my husband’s gin martini perfectly prepared. I had the special for the evening which was pan seared salmon over orzo salad with fresh basil and pine nuts. Everyone in our group enjoyed the delicious food and comfortable atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! Hi Jickyguerlain,Thank you so much for leaving a lovely review. We are glad to see that you guys have enjoyed your experience in Platform and we would like to see you again some day.I hope you enjoyed your trip to Ireland.Kind regards,P61 team
