Stopped in for dinner as this was near where we were staying. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. He explained menu choices and specials. The menu is traditional pub type food, gourmet burgers, appetizers etc. We had burgers and side salads. There was homemade salad dressing which was wonderful.

Our restaurant uses all local fresh seafood including Lobster, Scallops, and Haddock, or if you prefer have a steak cooked to perfection. All our dishes are made fresh everyday to order, enjoy a glass of wine or beer and watch the fishing boats return to
Checked into the hotel on a drive down the south shore. Hotel had just opened for the season and there was only one other room occupied while we were there.Lady at the front desk very friendly. We were upgraded to the second level with larger beds and a better view. The room was large and a little dated, but what a view of the water! We left the curtains open all night to enjoy it.Beds were firm, with decent bedding and pillows. We had a room where the bathtub and surround looked quite new. Lots of hot water for a bath. There was also a mini fridge in the room.We did not eat in the restaurant and the indòor pool was not heated up enough to enjoy. Our night was quiet and checkout was quick. I did enjoy my stay in Digby and would recommend this hotel. Good value.

We have been going to Vines Pasta Grill for about 15 years now for family special events. This week we celebrated two family birthdays with 18 folks. The hosting was on par with what one can expect from much more expensive restaurants. Ian was friendly, patient and had a great sense of humour. Never intrusive but always attentive to our needs - customer service is obviously a high priority at Vines. Every plate was a delicious tasting and filling experience. More than one in our party went home with some left overs. We chose a nice Italian Red to accompany the pasta and a complimentary bottle of Champagne for the birthday table was an amazing surprize. As usual many were raving about Vine's renowned Caesar Salad, a must have for new patrons. I would recommend Vines Pasta Grill to Halifax visitors and local folks who want a romantic dinner for two or that want to hold a large family event that won't break the bank. This is quality cuisine that keeps us coming back year after year! As stated in another review, this truly is a gem in Dartmouth/Cole Harbour. Bon Appétit!

Stayed in Digby the night before the ferry to St. John. We chose the Wheelhouse because it seemed to be the most popular. We were not disappointed. The seafood lasagna and the haddock with lobster were both very tasty. The service was quick and friendly, and the restaurant sits along the waterfront for great views. Gets crowded; go early.
