Reviews on Grill food in Zermatt, Swiss Alps, Switzerland. When most people think of Zermatt, they think of one thing: The Matterhorn. This ultimate Swiss icon looms over Zermatt, first drawing visitors here in the 1860s. The village of Zermatt itself is lovely and car-free, with old-fashioned brown chalets and winding alleys. (Don’t worry, you don’t have to walk everywhere—there are electric vehicles and horse-drawn cabs.) Skiing in the region often lasts through early summer, but when the weather’s warmer, it’s a great time to hike.

In our immense «show kitchen», the preparation and cooking are live. Great American style BBQ classics are prepared with a delicious twist. Our stone oven pizza specialities with homemade dough, olive oil and tomatoes, coming directly from Italy are prepa
This restaurant has changed. Not much Swiss food on the menu, more pizza, fish and grilled meats. No live Swiss music, a DJ playing mostly techno. And it was pretty pricey. The service was great and the food was pretty good.Apparently they renovated the place, instead of a Swiss wood paneling, it was mostly glass and steel.Their web site is accurate, but the old reviews, not so much.Dear Rinej,Thank you for sharing your feedback. We have indeed renovated the entire hotel and restaurants. We have 3 restaurants and you were at The Kitchen (the main one, with our Bar)1 of our restaurants is dedicated to Swiss food "The Cheese Factory": there is no longer any live music but a very nice menu with all the specialities and local products (fondue, raclette, brasero). Typically decorated. We look forward to seeing you again to discover this restaurant, which may be more to your liking. Your sincerelyAurélie

We are a traditonal, rustic Restaurant! We offer great Steaks, swiss specialties and cheeses specialities
We only have one evening in Zermatt. We were very hungry by the time we went to dinner and were afraid that on a Friday night we might have difficulty getting a table. We wanted somewhere nice and Rosstal turned out to be a wonderful choice! They were busy, but did have space for the 3 of us. We decided to have Truffle cheese fondue as a starter- it was delicious! My husband and daughter got the house special as their main course - it was steak with herbal butter that came in a pan that was set on top of a fondue flame. It was seared, but you could continue cooking it to your preference. It came with a salad and fries. I had weinerschnitzel and it was also delicious! The staff was friendly and helpful and we loved the atmosphere - cozy and rustic. We all walked out saying how much we enjoyed that meal and that it was a great way to end our last night in Europe.

omfortable stop between Landtunnel and Riffelalp! Very cosy mountain restaurant â ski hut with the same cuisine, large gilstein oven to warm you up and a super view of the Matterhorn. Directly on the ski slope and the winter footpath on the lower Riffelal
Unfortunately too crowded for cosy sitting in this good located ski restaurant . Possible to reserve table in advance, but not really a guaranty. Excellent Rösti. Food in general good.

â OPEN FROM FRI 29th DECEMBER â Informal restaurant with meat specialities of the charcoal grill and meat fondues. Enjoy good Swiss home cooking with friendly service.
This wonderful restaurant sits beside the river that runs thru town. It is thankfully off the main Banhoffstrasse and worth a visit. It has 2 diningrooms that are cozy and quaint. The staff are excellent and speak multiple languages. But the experience is in the excellent food. My wife had salmon which came with a wonderful bernaise sauce accompanied by am ample salad of greens, endive, cucumber and corn. I had the special of the day which way rumpsteak medium, home cut fries and green beans. Both dinners were superb. There is a varied dessert menu that leans towards ice cream, but parfait, chocolate cake and apple strudel are available. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The sizzling âholzfeuerâ is the centrepiece of Le Gitan, creating an immediate warm and welcoming atmosphere at the forefront of the restaurant. You can wet your appetite by watching all the action from your table; our chef prepares all our grills over th
Great experience at Le Gitan. All the food was great. Standout dishes were rack of lamb (comes in 2 servings with amazing and excessively rich gratin potatoes served at table directly from giant pan), compose salad, grilled prawns, etc. Manager was very gracious and attentive.dear jonthank you so much for your positive feedback. it was my pleasure to have you with us @ le gitan & zermatterstübli!wish you a beautiful christmas time.barbara

We've stayed twice at the Beau Rivage Hotel, but only dined here once. It was a culinary treat. Menu features Swiss meats & fare which is delicately plated at your table by up to three professional wait staff. The veal and local perch were wonderful. The beef rivaled excellent cuts from the USA's finest. Wonderful selection of vegetables all seasoned perfectly. This was one of my favorite travel meals ever! That said, the prices are somewhat high, but what we've come to expect in an expensive country such as Switzerland. With drinks you be looking at $150, but it was worth it to us midrange travelers who splurge at least a time or two as we travel.
