âStanding guard over the crossing of many roads at Mullacott, the Depot has long been a welcome rest stop for weary travellers, holiday-makers, and locals. In late April 1949, a Mr. W. T. Knill opened a new enterprise at this location, called the âMullaco
Myself and my other half visited this evening with our little one. I have a dairy allergy and our waitress, Lucy, was so helpful and knowledgable with regards to what I could and couldnât eat. She went the extra mile to make sure the chef was aware and I didnât feel like an inconvenience (a really common occurrence in a lot of restaurants). They were happy to replace cheese with vegan cheese (which tastes just like mild cheddar) and put other items on the side so my partner could still enjoy them! We shared pulled pork tacos to start which were AMAZING! Best pulled pork Iâve ever had! We also had tacos/a burger for mains which were really nice too. I had a gin (extensive gin list!!) and my other half had a coke and it all came to just under £50. Definitely worth every penny - we arenât local but if we were we would definitely visit regularly. Would 100% recommend :)
Where to eat Gastropub food in Woolacombe: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Italian sourdough focaccia sandwiches and wraps. Crispy fried katsu chicken, salads and slaw. Crab and lobster rolls; fish tacos. Katsu wraps and burgers. Skin on and sweet potato fries. All freshly made to order and ready to take away.
Weâve been coming to Woolacombe/Croyde for years and are all foodies - weâd heard this place was opening and when it finally did we were not disappointed. Everything cooked fresh and homemade with healthy options for the more waist watching among us!! The Mackerel Taco was to die for and had some amazing pickles inside. My husband had the venison burger which I had to try and the meat was perfectly cooked and served with a zingy tomato and coriander relish - yum! Would definitely recommend a visit if you want something different

In August in Croyde, every restaurant should be packed out and this one wasn't. It's a shame as the service was friendly and efficient and the food was decent. The lamb with roast potatoes and vegetables was very tasty. The whitebait starters were great. It's seems little more expensive than the neighbouring restaurants and it's hard to justify the extra because they are good too (if you can get a table) . It also lacks atmosphere because it is quite empty even though it's small. It would be great for a romantic twosome on a special date but that isn't what's happening in Croyde in August.

The Flame Factory brings wood fired pizza, flame grilled burgers and rare bred Clovelly Longhorn steaks to the historic Appledore quay side Hello from the Flame Factory, we're not trying to be big; we're only in Appledore - family owned and run by Jayne,
Restaurant looks really nice and comfortable. We went in for a family evening meal but turned away despite there being a number of empty tables. Decided to order 3 takeaway pizzas instead. Incredibly overpriced, 2 of the pizzas were dripping with grease, base of pizza box was saturated in oil, meat feast and BBQ chicken. Don't appear to use mozzarella, rather cheddar cheese as a topping. For £34 for 3 takeaway pizzas, you would expect better quality.
