The Magic Roundabout in the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere. Cafe. Gin Bar. Restaurant. Smokehouse. Open daily serving from morning until late.
We passed this whilst going to park the car. Looked interesting so we went back for breakfast. We ordered and when it came there was a mistake as we had ordered the large breakfast and just the normal breakfast came which had no black pudding. After initially saying it was what we ordered some black pudding arrived âon the houseâ and also when we got the bill they had also knocked a discount for the inconvenience as well as an apology. This would certainly not put us off as the mistake was rectified and apology made. We would definitely return.

The Boathouse Bar & Restaurant is located at Windermere Marina and is open to the general public. Serving breakfast from 9am, food is served all day with last orders at 9pm. The bar is open until 11pm.
This is such a nice place. Interesting menu. Great service! Our food (hamburger for husband, carbonara for me) was faultless. Dogs welcome. Beautiful view over the marina. I would, if I could, have deducted half a star - (a) because itâs slightly over~priced and (b) because you have to pay to park.

Visited here with friends a couple of Sunday's ago for breakfast when staying in Bowness for the weekend. We were seated promptly by who seemed to be a senior staff member but that's where it ended. Breakfast arrived, looked and tasted great. Coffee and tea - tea came long before the coffees. Coffee came, 2 half cups, didn't know which was decaff. Came back with one full cup, no 2nd cup. Went away, came back with half a cup, like an espresso. Went away and came back with full cup. Asked for water, 3 times before it appeared. Sauces came on 2nd time of asking. No checking if all was ok. Food was good but not a great relaxed experience. There was only a couple of other tables taken, don't know how they would cope during busy service..... Thank you for your review I am sorry for the confusion over the coffees - most of our staff have been at The Village for a while now and there should not have been a mix up.I can only apologise but glad you enjoyed your breakfast.
