Things to do in Whitby
We've only had take out pork and chicken souvlaki, but they were very tasty. They also say if you don't see something on our menu ask us and we will make it for you. We will definitely be ordering from Snuffy's Grill again.

The elegant and unique Elias Naan and Kabob is located in heart of Whitby at 20 Broadleaf Ave, Whitby, ON L1R 0B5 with one simple aim to serve authentic, homestyle Afghan food in town. At Elias Naan and Kabob, we ensure that all flavours are well-balanced
Whitby welcomes new flavours and celebrates cuisines from all over. It's great to not have to Toronto for ethnic foods. At Elias, the food is good but the service is lacking friendliness and borders on inhospitable especially on Friday evenings. If you're not looking for the Hello and Thank yous then you won't be disappointed.

There is no "I" in our team!People are talking... from Durhamâs best chicken wings (really, thatâs what they say) to sandwiches that are big enough to share to pasta dishes like you have never tasted before and entrees that look like they belong downtown
A Wednesday afternoon, about 1PM ; only a few occupied tables in the large space ; I think it draws mostly in the evening when sports are on TV. The service was very good provided by a friendly waitress ; the table ware is clean ; the table and chairs are clean too. The washroom is also clean. This road house style restaurant seems about typical ; loud music ; plenty large screens to watch sports ; high tables ; ... and so-so food. Along with the sandwich I had a Coors draft ; cost came to about $25 incl tip.Allen-y-doncThx for sharing your visit and your comments. We are a very busy place mid afternoon through the evening as you mention well known for our food and atmosphere. I am disappointed that we didnât leave you with that impression. Hopefully you will come and see us again to see that we can do much better. Sorry that, that didnât happen this time. Best,

We went to Jack Astors for a late lunch/early supper....it was packed with hockey teams (which was to be expected....lots of tournaments this weekend), that didn't bother us at all. Our seats had me looking directly into at the kitchen and food prep area....the staff were having a great time together (that's great, always nice to have a good raport with fellow staff members), but they were also eating and drinking while prepping food (not sure who's plate they were pulling the food off....do they not get breaks for this kind of thing??) The floor was covered in food scraps (not inside the kitchen, but outside in the pick up area)....I saw waiters wipe plates and bowls with dirty cloths and their own pants even, and then deliver them to patrons. They need to shut that area off, so we cannot see what's happening, not that it makes any difference to me now....we will not be back!! (p.s. our waitress was lovely and the food was okay).

For an unparalleled dining experience featuring succulent Angus AAA steaks, fresh seafood, and an extensive wine list, visit Bâton Rouge Steakhouse Bar & Grill in Whitby.
We have been to this restaurant several times. Food was good and service was good. This visit, the service was good and the food was pretty bad. Very disappointed. We ordered an appetizer spinach dip that was runny like soup and it tasted like must smells. Terribly gross. The waitress noticed we weren't eating it and asked if we liked it. No. We explained. She apologized and took the appetizer. She came back and said she talked to the chef in the back and they said that was how they made it. Really? How sad. Because it is gross. Soupy and taste like must? Perhaps it had been frozen and was freezer burn? She brought us another appetizer dip and same thing. How could this happen? We spent over $70 ..which is the lowest we have probably ever spent there and it was wasted money. The only thing that was enjoyable the whole meal was the creme brulee. That was nice.I rated VALUE terrible because I felt we wasted time and money. :(
