This restaurant is well worth a visit. The staff were super friendly and the food was excellent - but not cheap. a good house wine was available only the grappa offered was a little below the standard expected after such a good meal. They did not quite get my steak "english" but it was very close and tasted really good. Deserts looked good but a little too flashy for my tastes.

My bf and I stopped by just before 7pm and were able to get seated without a reservation since most were coming in around 8pm. The restaurant is very charming and our waitress was fantastic. We ended up having the fried Camembert salad, Wiener schnitzel and the veal liver dish along with a few drinks, and everything was solid. The waitress also gave us her honest opinion on the menu options when we were deciding between a few items, which we appreciated. They take credit cards which is convenient. And theyâre located in St Jacob which was perfect for us as we were staying nearby.

We were in lech for four days. Itâs surprising that most of the recommended restaurants are booked well ahead. So frustrating for last minute visitors. We found Ambrosius and had two very nice meals. Staff friendly. Accommodating for those without bookings. Lovely atmosphere in traditional surroundings.

La zona ristorante si presenta bene sia per quanto riguarda la sala interna che anche per la bella terrazza esterna. Il menu' comprende i piatti tipici della zona, pero' a mio parere e' costoso.Abbiamo chiesto di poter dormire una notte: la padrona ci ha proposto un mini appartamento al prezzo di una camera doppia. Perche'??? L'albergo non era certo tutto esaurito! Comunque la sistemazione era OK, tranne forse per il bagno che era cieco,, senza doccia (solo vasca) e SENZA accessori come shampoo, bagno schiuma ne' asciugacapelli.La colazione non era a buffet: la padrona ci ha portato un piattino con alcune fette di prosciutto, salame e formaggio e le solite monoporzioni di marmellata e burro: niente altro come dolce.......Non ci tornerei: in Austria abbiamo trovato ben di meglio!

there's everything you would expect: 1) great service, attentive and friendly; the owner is there himself and makes sure, you have everything you need2) great food - especially the steaks are awesome3) great wine - they offer a wide range of different wines with reasonable price ranges4) amazing location - a super-old wooden house, marvellous surroundings, great intereurBe aware - the last time we were there, they did not accept cards (neither credit nor debit), so you should bring cash.We go there every year - it has become a tradition, that we are looking forward every year.
