Clean, friendly and patient with our lack of Spanish vocab. Food was awesome! I had chicken with salad and rice. Prices can't be beat for that quality and quantity! Will definitely return if in the area.

El Asado de Papa is family owned and operated and the service is better than most restaurants! It sits on Lake Caonillas and is the best outdoor restaurant for miles! All the locals eat here. You can't beat the food - all home made, all good, all the time! I eat here several times a week and have never been disappointed. The chicken and meats and verdura (root vegetables) are authentic Puerto Rican, the rice and beans the best! The atmosphere is relaxed, the service excellent. This is comida criolla at its very best. On Sundays "lechon" - roast pig - is served. All the foods are prepared over home made charcoal, fresh. If you are looking to enjoy Puerto Rican food at its best in a casual and friendly atmosphere, with lake and mountains as a background, this is the place. The prices are very modest. Great pina coladas!
