Tasty breakfast very well prepared, excellent service, good coffee (will ask for extra large cup next time). Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended- but be sure to get there early. It is a smallish venue, and popular. Creamy mushrooms - to die for!

We enjoyed Cilantros from the moment we were met at the door. Friendly and efficient staff, snappy service and great value for money. Our meals were tasty and the portion sizes spot-on. Highly recommended in a quaint decor setting! An enjoyable evening all round.

Ordered a 350 gram sirloin steak done medium/well which arrived on a red hot plate with a few chips 20 minutes later. Steak was dried out and completely tastless. After 2 bites I sent it back. This restaurant promotes itself as serving the best steaks in Johannesburg but unfortunately not on this occasion. I suspect they cooked it and forgot to bring it to the table so let it dry out - but still served it up. AwfulDear 'bernadetteandjohn'Shocking as well as disappointing to receive a review of this nature, from the time frame suggested in your comments, the wrong order rather then a order left on the pass is more likely what happened, still no excuse, merely an observation. I am unable to pick up your comments, if a manager on duty visited your table or was afforded the opportunity to rectify or solve the issues on the night, it surely would not have been left at that by our dedicated team of managers if brought to their attention by your waitron.I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to discuss such a serious complaint in more detail. I love the Grillhouse Sandton but the service outside on the deck on a Friday evening is shocking. The place is packed and people are eager to spend but canât find any waiters. They donât seem to have sections or tables they are assigned to and there are not nearly enough of them. When you catch a different waiter and order, nothing happens. If you order from a manager, nothing happens. The San Bar up the hill from you has always been like this and thatâs why people donât like going there. You need to fix this, guys. At first I was put off by the extensive menu but was quickly charmed by the attentive professional staff. And then the food started coming out - everything was superb.The Peri-Peri Chicken Liver appetizer is a must as is the grilled calamari. We shard and tasted entree items from a Chicken Curry to Barramundi fish with vegetables to Lamb Chops and Salmon Poke Bowl - each was delicious The only reason Iâm not giving it 5 stars is that the food all came out too quickly. Before we could finish appetizers the entrees were arriving and it felt rushed. An interesting problem in South Africa where many restaurants are known for poor and slow service.....The place has a great vibe and is packed or a reason - they deliver good food at a great price!
