We decided last minute to dine in San Quirico. We were a large group of 16, so we weren’t sure we could find a place. But at Vecchio Forno we were quickly welcomed. Our dinner was excellent. Ate one of the best caccio e pepe of my life. Everything was great, from the welcoming service, the bustling ambiance to the simple traditional fare.

If you are ready for serious carnivorous dining, this is the place. My wife and friend had burgers, I had a mixed grill of pork. Rib, pork belly, cutlet, sausage. All were excellently grilled and we got to watch the butcher/chef prepare the meats. The couple next to us had mouth watering steaks. Crisp fries and excellent wine to top it off

Needing a burger and fries after 3 weeks in Italy, we stumbled upon this place on a side street. The burger was delicious as well as being enormous. The two of us could have easily shared both the fries and the burger!!! Owner doesn’t speak English but we made do with pointing and hand gestures with sounds! she was very friendly and the place was very clean.
