This is a very popular local brasserie especially on market day. The locals love it and they should. The service was frantic but friendly and they really try to make you feel at home. The menu is a bit limited but the plats du jour were excellent. We loved it - the only problem was going back out into the 40 degree heat!

If you like steak, this is the place for you! There are other meals as well, of course, but from the model cow at the entrance to the fabric on the chairs, the theme is clear. Staff very friendly and helpful. Patient with our French attempts, but with an English menu for those awkward technical terms. Very enjoyable, unless you're vegetarian!

Accueil souriant mais le décor de la salle est sans intérêt (voire "moche") ni aucune touche indienne, c'est dommage. La salle est relativement grande ; des tables de 2 et 4 personnes sont proposées. J'ai goûté deux plats parmi les chickano curry : le baighan bartha (spécialité du chef caviar d'aubergines) pour 6,50 ⬠et le chickano dall (lentilles/pois cassés) pour 6,90 ⬠avec un naan nature (1,20 â¬). Ces deux plats valaient ce que j'ai pu déguster dans de vrais restaurants indiens que ce soit au niveau de la qualité ou de la quantité. Peu de recettes végétariennes. Un gros regret : bien que nous soyons dans un fast food à tendance indienne, très rares sont les plats accompagnés de riz. Les chickano chicken, chickano naan, chickano panini et chickano burgers sont servis avec une portion de frites. Trois menus enfants sont proposés. Le choix de boissons n'est pas terrible (pas de lassi ni de tchai), idem pour les chickano desserts. Un conseil : vérifiez la facture avant de payer car le patron m'a facturé un menu alors que j'avais un plat solo...

We went there because my wife wanted to celebrate the fact that she invited her father to visit the city where they had lived 47 years ago. As there was not anything free outside we had to sit inside just at the entrance. For every single wish that we had we had to stop and address a waiter passing by including asking for place, ordering drinks, ordering meals, paying... not a single time came a waiter to our table to ask whether we wanted anything. We ordered a few drinks plus a pizza, a daily menu and two menus for 22.50 EUR each. The only positive of the whole experience where the "entrees" of the two menus - good quantity and taste. The rest was mediocre with an insufficiently defrosted and cooked fish with a suspicious taste in one of the two menus which was impossible to finish. The "ambiance" was far from enjoyable with a very loud and fierce argument between the serving staff and one of the persons in the kitchen taking place just behind our backs.It might have been that they just had a bad day and we had bad luck but an advice before going there: think twice whether you will need to go to the toilette as there is just one (unisex !) for the whole restaurant (plus one for handicapped obviously used by everyone) - at the time when we were there there might have been more than 100 people both inside and outside. So obviously those in need were waiting in a line inside the restaurant between tables with people having lunch or just chatting... In my opinion under normal circumstances this restaurant should never be allowed to even open with such a sanitary facility.
