Reviews on Grill food in Pace, Rennes, including Les 3 singes, Creperie Les Betises, Chez Kub

Was taken here for lunch by some colleagues. The name and look of the place said it all. If you like grilled meat this is the place to go. After a token salad for entree, a yummy steak tartare and frites followed, with an awesome apple crumble to finish. Desserts typically disappoint back home (Australia) but no surprise that the french know what they are doing. Great value too.

In Brittany, there are creperies everywhere, serving the special open face galettes, but Creperie Les Betises, located slightly off the beaten track near the Thabor Gardens, has a special flare. Their selection of crepes/galettes are exactly the combination of ingredients that I enjoy and the crepes/galettes were served warm, crisp and it was delicious! They have an extensive dessert menu as well, so save room for that!

Traditional french restaurant which where you can find home-made grill (meat and fish)
We went to Chez Kub at the recommendation of our delightful hotel concierge Fabrice (just down the street at Symphonie des Sens). Both the food and ambiance delightful. I started with a lovely toasted Camembert salad (half a camembert cut horizontally and served on toast). We enjoyed different plates afterwards --i took the braised pork cheeks, which were fabulous, while my husband and friend took the grilled steaks (prepared on the open fire) with frites. They both had desserts while I enjoyed a delicious expresso.
