Once again we'd been invited out for a bite to eat by our close friends who live in the area. Table was booked for Sat 5.30pm. We we're shown to a table in the middle of the restaurant , you also might notice that at each table there are different solid wood - 'antique' chairs, similar to the walls - full of interesting old oil paintings. I'm sure it was the 'boss' who took our orders, she was Italian and certainly had an ' air of authority ' about her. Our drinks order only took a few mins to be served. While we waited for the main course we were served freshly made bread rolls ( still warm ) cut in half with a small pot of garlic butter and some mixed pickles with olives. The four different mains ( 3 pasta and one Schnitzel ) only took about 15 - 20 mins! As you do we all tried each others dish, we were so pleasantly satisfied with the flavours and quality. The locals have already reviewed the taverne very positively - it's certainly well worth a try if you're in the area.

I like to drive around Dûsseldorf and during last weekend we ended up in Mülheim an der Ruhr at the time of the diner. We entered in the restaurant Walkmuhle and immediately were surprised about the warm welcome we received. We were lucky enough to have a table in front of the open fire (not working during the warm days but I can already imagine myself during the winter were a fire would be crackling softly giving to the room a great romantic and relaxing ambiance). Sergey, the owner, gave us advices on the menu and it was great advises. We ate like kings, oysters, dorade fish, I took a steak cooked with a 800c professional beafer. Just amazing. While eating, the table next door ate some pasta with mushroom prepared inside a big parmesan cheese and I promised myself to come back to try it.Thank you a lot. We are ever glad to see you again. See you.

What else do you want? One of the best adresses in a rather (outdated and) dull city. If you happen to have visited legoland, sealife etc in the Neue Mitte wij tour kids and you care for some international cuisine rather than a typical bratwurst and sortlike dishes... Well look no further, honest and decent cuisine can be found here at restaurant International - ducked away in one of the lesser 'touristic streets' of the city. Maybe not the most romantic restaurant but it's far better than some typical tourist traps near 'centro'. By the way, the wines are reasonably priced too which are welcome gift after a whole day with the kids. Just make sure you go by foot to your nearby hotel. :-)

Went with a group of 10 colleagues where me being the only vegan Though it's not ok to review the vegan food the feedback of all my friends who had steak and schnitzels was nothing but ordinary as the meat was not done properly , if one could complain could be understood as a personal opinion but all from the group had the same opinion No second time visitDear Venky, thanks for your review. We regret that we havent prepared you a nice evening. We can assure you that our meat is of the highest quality and always freshly prepared. If a steak does not have the desired grilling degree, please always indicate the service so that we can solve the problem immediately. We always exchange a bad piece of meat. We would be happy when you give us a second chance to prove to you that we can definitely do better. Many greetings from the MAREDO team from Oberhausen

Bravi!

It is a small German town without many restaurants. We ended in this small restaurants with a limited menu. It almost feels you are in a living room. The service is fast and friendly and the menu of the day was a typical Wiener Schnitzel. The Schnitzels are made in the open kitchen and tasted delicious. Together with a soft drink and a coffee you can really eat here for a decent price.
