If you are in Barbados you definitely need to check out Grandeneâs. The food was amazing, service very attentive and drinks were tasty. Hubby ordered the fried chicken, breadfruit pie, and vegs. I ordered the grilled marlin, macaroni pie. Everything was so good. Large portions. My pictures donât do it justice. Shane and his mom do a great job. Definitely order the Rum Sour with fresh squeezed lime juice. We will definitely be back.

On the west coast of Barbados with an amazing beach front location just North of The Lone star You will not be disappointed
After taking a short walk along the beach from where we were staying. We decided to stop of here for Breakfast. We ordered two full breakfasts, and 3 pancakes. The food was plentiful and tasty. The staff here are friendly and welcoming. Something we are finding less of on the west coast In the past few visits here.

We came back here again after last year and were not disappointed yet again, we both had the rib-eye steak on a stone, there was pleny of food on our plates and the steak, well, you cook it yourself to how you want it and eat it hot off the stone as it cooks, what an amazing flavour, the staff keep ypur wine glass full and the owner will often drop over to tables for a chat (especially about cricket!) the music is low and the toilets are spotless. if you do not visit here you will miss out!

We caught the âreggaeâ bus to Speightstown and then walked to Mertons Place at Moontown. Great photo opportunity along the way.Once at Moontown you cannot help but be embraced by the authenticity of the place which oozes Barbadian life. The local people are friendly, enthusiastic and loud after a few beers. We loved the vibe.Katrina is a great waitress, friendly and clear in her description of the available fish. It is a pleasure to watch Merton go about his cooking duties using real wood to fire the pots.Take your own plate and knife and fork if using a paper plate is not to your liking. The food is rustic, fresh and beautifully cooked. The view comes as standard. Shake Mertons hand when you leave to feel the strength and genuine nature of the man.
