It is located in what used to be the province of Eastern Finland and is part of the Etelä-Savo region. The municipality has a population of 54,390 (31 August 2017) (around 34,000 in the town itself) and covers an area of 3,229.57 square kilometres (1,246.94 sq mi) of which 424.7 km (164.0 sq mi) is water. The population density is 32 inhabitants per square kilometre (83/sq mi) .

A positive surprise. A very nice and well composed menu to choose from. All we had was tasty, particularly the pepper steak. A bit pricey though: for the price I would have expected even more.We also liked that the childrens' menu was actually nice with proper food.Cosy atmosphere and friendly service, too. I'm sorry to say but the surroundings were really poor - the first look was that it's probably closed and broke because of the long grass outside.. we still entered the restaurant and what we saw was three staff members eating their breakfast at 1 p.m. and talking to us with their mouth full.. everything smelled of fat.. I don't understand where are these beautiful pictures taken and by who are these good reviews written... really ugly and unpleasant environment. Sorry but you really need to do some cleaning and rebranding!

Olipa miellyttävä yllätys, että Pataljoonan pelastusta sai myös asuntomessuilla. Se oli maukasta, ei lainkaan kuivakkaa eikä liian rasvaista. Kaikilla mausteilla, tietysti. Ja hyvässä seurassa.

Tilattiin Suomi - Venäjä jääkiekkopelin aikana 3 pizzaa ja kebab annos.Tilaus otettiin vastaan asiallisesti ja toimitus oli nopeaa, n. 30 min.Pizzat olivat hyviä ja ne olivat niin runsaita ettei niitä jaksanut kokonaan syödä, eli rahalle sai vastinetta.Kebab oli myös maistuva ja annos iso,seuraavan kerran toivoisi, että ranskalaiset voisi laittaa annoksen päälle. Hintataso oli ihan ok, annoskokoon nähden.
