The Restaurant Artemis is one of the well known restaurants in Leros , it serves you fresh fish and Mediterranean meals every day and has there own beach for a dip
First let me say the the incredible island of Leros has many great restaurant, a few outstanding restaurants. And then there is the best restaurant on the island, perhaps in all of Greece. Thea Artimis is a beachside restaurant at the end if the road in an area called Plefoutis. The restaurant has indoor and terrace dining, beach lounge chairs for the small strip of beach across the tiny road, and a large patio for parties and weddings. There is one reason Thea Artimis is the best. It's the fantastic owner and cook, Fredarica. Her food isn't fancy. It's just delicious. The fish are only an hour out of the sea. The herbs are from her garden. Everything is fresh and local Fredarica is one if those cooks you see on the food channel. The ones where the big name chefs go to have great food. The ones where they have perfected their craft over 40 years if cooking. Her calamari us perfection- sweet tender flavorful Her croquettes of cheese or tomatoes or eggplant are excellent. Her fish is cooked to perfection with garlic and olive oil. Try the small (gold fish sized) fish that are fried and eaten whole. Like a crispy slightly fish flavored French fry. I could go on and on on this restaurant do yourself a favor, go for an afternoon of beach and lunch. Take the two hours necessary to enjoy this incredible cook. You won't regret it. In fact I'm quite sure you'll write your own 5 star review

After days of Greek tavernas, an American doesnât mind the tastes of home. Or of Belgium, in this case. After four days at sea aboard the catamaran Skylax, our hosts dropped anchor in their homeport of Lakki on the island of Leros and introduced us to their local favorites: ouzo at Morano, dinner at Taverna Milos, and in between them: draft Belgian ale at Persiana Pub. Persiana is an eclectic mix of American and European pubs, serving burgers and an extensive list of high-gravity ales. The servers wear black shirts emblazoned with the tagline âBlues, Burgers, and Bourbon.â Iâve often found while traveling abroad that these places rarely hit the mark, leaving homesick travelers with the blues brought on by expensive bourbon and disappointing burgers. Persiana Pub is the exception, though: it would stand well in Atlanta, with our plethora of gastropubs and burger meccas, especially considering its neighborhood pub feel (something we often lack in the ATL). A delightful zag on our tour of Dodecanese tavernas and ouzeries.Thank you so much for your comment! We be glad to see you again !
