I see a bunch of five stars (okay, circles), but that was not my experience. I ate lunch here in October. A little slow updating this site, but I keep my thoughts and photos organized. I had the poutine, and it was okay, but definitely not 5 stars. Shredded cheese instead of curds. Fairly routine fries/chips. Decent amount of gravy, which I appreciated. I was the only person in the place for lunch. I hear it's busier now. I'm guessing they're more on top of their game - so I'll give them another try.My ratings for service, food, and value only deserve 3 stars - but I'm giving them 4 based on potential.Hi, thank you for taking the time to post your experience! It seems you were here during our opening week! It believe you ordered the Canadian Poutine, which has shredded cheese and bacon. All our other poutines are topped with Montreal cheese curds.I do hope you return and I hope we can earn the other stars!!Thank you

Iâd never been to a jack astors so had no pre-conceived ideas. When I drove up the led sign said âsorry weâre openâ. Is this supposed to be cute? I found it confusing and weird. It was a very cold and windy night: -13 or something. Yet the waitress greeted us in shorts and skimpy top: what?! Also confused meBut other than that it was really good: terrific service, excellent food, clean bathrooms, great music!Cmon jack astors class it up youâve got a great place!

What a lovely experience, celebrating a Laurier grad for lunch. We all enjoyed a variety of sandwiches & bowls & our server JOE was amazing. He was attentive, funny, prompt & we enjoyed his recommendations. The Congratulations dessert was just a sweet bonus ~ thank you! An upscale, comfortable, classy place...with very cool decor!

Moxie's Grill & Bar, Kitchener's premium casual dining restaurant on Fairway Rd. Featuring a delicious food menu, tasty drinks and a great patio. Open late.
Four of us had dinner at Moxie's this week before heading to the theater nearby. It was our first visit to this restaurant and we had no expectations. From the moment we walked in until we were finished, we were super impressed by the impeccable customer service. Kaz (spelling?) was our waiter and was just lovely.... very attentive to detail, and prompt in getting our food on time. The food itself was beautifully presented and delicious. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Sure wish we lived in Kitchener for this restaurant.Difficult to completely judge as we were at a wedding celebration in a private room but usually it is very indicative of the overall experience. The servers were super friendly and personable. We had excellent charcuterie boards with quality meats and cheeses. The main meal was awesome with platters of chicken and gnocchi and beef and yummy mashed potatoes. Of special note was the roasted brussel sprouts. Everything was top notch and I am sure they are the same as in the restaurant. Also, the sparkling and regular water was a nice touch. Will certainly dine here again when in the area.
