Find out what Grill restaurants to try in Kissamos. Kissamos (Greek: Κίσσαμος) is a town and municipality, multiple (former) bishopric and Latin titular see in the west of the island of Crete, Greece. It is part of the Chania regional unit and of the former Kissamos Province which covers the northwest corner of the island. The city of Kissamos is also known as Kastelli Kissamou and often known simply as Kastelli after the Venetian castle that was there. It is now a port and fishing harbour, with a regular ferry from the Peloponnese via Kythira. A town museum is located in the old Venetian governor's palace and there have been important archaeological finds in the town, including fine mosaics, dating from the Roman city of Kisamos (Κίσαμος, Latinized as Cisamus). The head town of the municipality (Δήμος Κισσάμου) is Kastelli-Kissamos itself.
Things to do in Kissamos
Cozy place with helpful staff and funky interior design. We dropped in for a beer which was served in icy glasses and we were also treated with some free snacks.

On your way to Elafonisi beach or on your way back at MYLOI village take a brake and have you lunch at Taverna OI MYLOI (ΟΙ ΜΥΛΟΙ). In a green setting this Family run place will reward you with a tasty meal of traditional cooking at rock botom prices. Because the shop is on strech of the road, most of the people speed and are missing this very good litle place and the oportunity to taste something diferent. I strongly recomend the dish Bureki.(Μπουρεκι) and the Greek salad they serve!!!!

We Are Open From Morning Till Night. We Serve Coffe Juice And Various Snacks, Also Local Cuisine And Grill.
A place where you can enjoy a nice cold coffee, a snack or some Cretan food, right before you reach Elafonisi beach. The owner is very hospitable, meaning that if you come for dinner or lunch you might end up drinking unexpected raki shots. Expect to be treated like a Greek (if you are not) so not hidden charges and no discrimination in any aspect.

An amazing family run tavern by Christina and Vasilis. If you want to experience traditional Crete and their hospitality- this is the place for you.We went up this morning to feed the sheep with Vasilis and continued to the highest point on the mountain behind their property, where the views were breathtaking. On our return Christina had cooked us an amazing brunch. We then watched Vasilis making cheese from the milk we had collected that morning and then joined Christina making Dolmades. So welcoming and friendly - nothing is too much for them to make your stay memorable

This family run taverna serves wonderful food, the fish soup was amazing. Father lookers after the land, mother cooks, son fishes and daughter serves the food with a complete description of where it was sourced and how it was cooked. All ingredients are locally sourced, would definitely go back

Welcome to the '' Plaka '' In a flowery corner on the beach with breathtaking views of the bay of Kissamos, to be enjoyed by the great sea: your swiming, your food, your coffee, your drink... All our meat and fish produce is fresh and from local producers
Overlooking beach but set back a bit so a little sheltered. Nice and friendly staff. Not so keen on widescreen tv which I find a bit distracting but can't fault the food or service. The fish is fresh and changes each day according to catch. We went back for a second visit (luckily no tv the second time).
