Casual Bar & Restaurant in the heart of the Westlands district. Innovative menu with healthy options. Great dining choice, kitchen open until late.
I went here on a Friday night after a long week in Nairobi. It looks really dodgy when you look in from the street, but inside it is warm and friendly. The restaurant part is very retro cool with interesting paintings on the wall. I had grilled tilapia with a coconut chili sauce which was very nice. My dining partners enjoyed their meals. Service is a little on the slow side, but if you want a nice, chilled place to relax and have a quiet conversation this is a good option.
A great Kenyan friend introduced me to Hagon. One late Sunday morning he said "Hey Zambian, let's go I show you where to eat fresh fish" so I went along. I was not disappointed, the place is clean and the layout very spacious including a play area for kids. We ordered 1 mother of all fishes to share with 2 portions of brown ugali and some seasonal veggies (Managu). We actually got to choose the fish from a cold box near the open cooking area. The meal was promptly prepared; the fish was really fresh, nicely decorated with tomatoes and whatever else. It was very tasty too! The service was quite prompt. An impressive feature of the restaurant is the placing of several stations for handwashing and hand sanitisers all around the dining areas. Gives you the confidence you're in safe handsOne can pay using visa, cash or Mpesa which is really convenient. The pricing is quite friendly really, of course a bit more than one pays for goat roast weight for weight since fish is relatively more expensive in Nairobi. They also do take-aways nicely packed in foil to keep the heat and aromas in. I learnt they do deliveries too. Before long, the place was teeming with diners. We were glad we had arrived just before peak time. After that fish, I was determined to visit again.

I was so excited to find Rocomama at the village market and they did not disappoint. Delicious food is on the offer(especially the ribs). The staff are friendly and do not hesitate to guide you through the menu. Try it next time you are at village market. The secret ingredient is always RocoMamas! ;) #RocoMamasFTW
It is with great trépidation that I write this review. I have been happily enjoying keeping Pork Pit to my greedy self.5The tiny restaurant is located on the main road and easy to find. As you can guess from the name: everything is pork. Wet fry, choma, dry fry, chinese style, ribs, burgers etc. Accompaniments include mukimo, French fries, bhajia and veg.On our first visit, we tried Chinese style and dry fry. Which is basically cooked pieces in a soy sauce based, green pepper sauce, with chili. The dry fry is not oily or deep fried as you would imagine but grilled on a flat top grill. Delicious. On the 2nd visit, we ordered wet fry, which again is cooked on the flat top in a savory bbq style, finger licking, thick sauce. The meat is ridiculously tender and falling off the bone. I ordered and picked up my delivery to enjoy at home. The ambience is very cool and modern, with lots of young couples and groups enjoying their food on the unique wooden platters. Drinks are reasonably priced and the service is efficient. My only negative, delivery is essentially non existent. An investment into a couple of bike riders would mean increasing my orders from twice a month to weekly! Highly recommended.

A large variety of steaks to the satisfaction of the customers, well cooked, very good service, pleasant environment, fairly priced... Admittedly, we found ourselves a bit confused by the tips we got regarding what to order as they seemed conflicting, and we ended up ordering the steaks that we not to our liking... Notwithstanding the aforementioned, the steaks that came were cooked to perfection and both the sauces and side dishes were of equal comparability in perfection. We will visit again, but next time we shall order what we see fit for our taste!Good Day Stavros,Thank you so much for your feedback. It is so useful to get your thoughts in such a positive and interesting way. I agree that conflicting messages can be confusing and we can definitely work on the way that information is conveyed to our guests. We should always remember to Keep It Simple and not to overcomplicate the choice. As you said, the steaks you received were well presented and well cooked, though the over complication leads to a feeling of regret in what could have been. I hope that we do see you again, and that you order whatever you feel like eating without being swayed by confusing information. All The BestKyle

Long wait while the restaurant is empty, horrible steaks and starters. The only thing that I managed to eat was mash potatoes
