I visited HQ with my boyfriend for a chilled afternoon, sundowners and to soak up the beach atmosphere. Iâd been to Catch bar, which is linked to HQ, a few times so was looking forward to it.The bar is right on the beach and offers a choice of sun loungers, mini cabanas or a sala nest (very comfy!) to rest in.The staff are great, very attentive and friendly.The food was also very good.However, HQ will not be at its best until the construction work to its right, building a new beachside resort, is complete. It is immediately next door and thereâs lots of noise from the power tools until late into the evening. On the other side of the bar, Cafe Del Mar is situated - there is a sound clash with their music and HQâs. This, coupled with the construction does not make it a very relaxing venue.I look forward to returning in a couple of years when itâs all completed to se the transformation.Dear Vikster76,Thank you so much for having visited HQ Beach Lounge.Indeed, the finishing development of Intercontinental Hotel next to us is creating some disturbances however it will be completed by April this year as the hotel will open.Regarding our neighbor beach club, we are continuously trying to minimize the disturbance for the benefit of both parties.See you again soon for more relaxed moments.Until thenOlivier

Certainly a highlight of our luxury escape package and staff is fantastic looking after us and our 11 month old making us feeling welcomed here.We had a fixed menu with our package - the food selection was very good. Thanks to a great italian chef we also had German Bretzel - just in time for the Oktoberfest seasonSimilar luxury escape packages in 5 star resorts offered us to choose from their normal menu, which would have certainly given us a better understanding of their dishes on offer and might have attracted us back more often - but what we experienced was outstanding anyway.

This little gem of burger restaurant just opened in the center of Kamala. The whole experience feels like quality. From the custom made wooden furniture, to the overall atmosphere, to the smiling staff and obviously to the burgers. They use two patties of 100g each of dry-aged beef, which won't leave you hungry for sure.They even have one patty option for smaller appetites (or budgets), in addition to their chicken and Vegan (Beyond Meat) options. And beyond the traditional regional beers, they also have hard to find quality beers like Corona, Hoegaarden. They are open late (past midnight) for the party goers and even deliver around Kamala. Situated on one of the main shopping drags through Kamala, this small casual family run restaurant is just fine for a casual meal.Started with chicken satays which melted in my mouth, followed by Thai beef salad. The ingredients were lovely and fresh with some interesting herbs. The beef was a bit tough but I didnât mind as they went to the effort of accomodating my allergies which is no fish sauce or seafood.In addition, my friend is vegetarian so they were able to modify nearly any dish with tofu.Very friendly service and it was nice the Cook came out to see if everything was ok.2 entres , 2 mains, a beer and water came in at bht 810
