We had a very nice dinner at Meet the meat. We had a burger, t-bone and assorted salads and appetizer. Everything tasted really good, came out fast and just the way we ordered. After the meal we got a complementary dessert consisting of fresh fruits. The waiter was very nice, smiling and attentive. Definitely a place to recommend!

This cozy and charming little restaurant in the historic center of Kalamata has just recently been taken over by new owners. You can see and feel how much heart they have invested in the place... AND THEN THERE IS THE FOOD!!! I have been eating all over the world and a lot all over Greece but the meals in OPOS PALIA beat almost everything! If you want to give your tastebuds a new sensation, don't miss to go there for dinner. Try the chicken or the pork dish... or anything from the grill (which mind you is not gaz but wood!!!) and I guarantee you won't be disappointed. The restaurant serves traditional, down to earth Greek food with a special touch and cooked to perfection. The special touch does not come from fancy rubbish that spoils a hearty meal, but it comes mainly from the freshest ingrediances, from the highest quality ingrediances and from doing everything themselfes like grandma used to cook. If you ever visit Kalamata and want to get caught in cheap tourist fodder, go anywhere... if you want to taste the best of the best for ridiculous prices - go to OPOS PALIA!
