As a former instructor at The Culinary Institute of America and now consultant to restaurants and hotels nationally and internationally, this restaurant was suggested among several others, by the concierge of our high-end hotel outside of Rome. When we asked to sit outside on a warm April evening, the answer was a definite "no," even though at that point, there was no one else in the restaurant. When loading up the wood for the wood-burning oven, the server had a tantrum about something and did nothing to hide it. My wife had asked for her lamb special to be served with a pink center. He insisted that was not the way the restaurant cooked it. The result were fatty, almost burnt lamb pieces that ended up costing 29 euros! Not once did the server return to the table to see how we were enjoying our entrees. My scampi were OK- slightly undercooked. All in all, there was a sense of apathy in the restaurant. Definitely, we would not return here.

I was really hungry having driven all day. Starters of various fried cheese croquettes was absolutely tasteless. Ribs for the main course were covered in an awful sweet sludgy goo. Even the ice cream was poor

Abbiamo conosciuto questo locale alcuni mesi fa ed eravamo rimasti estasiati dalla cucina, dalla qualità e quantità delle pietanze e dalla cortesia della cameriera. Stasera avevamo deciso di ordinare da casa le stesse pietanze assaporate in quell'occasione (seduti al tavolo dell'hamburgheria e serviti come principi), utilizzando il servizio di consegna a domicilio JUST-EAT, tenuto conto che abitiamo poco distanti da Le Rughe.CHE DELUSIONE! 1 x Antipasto di insalata di polpo...ma il polpo dov'era? Sarà scappato lungo il tragitto? Vaschetta in alluminio stracolma di rucola, patate e carote (pelate male e tagliate molto ma molto grossolanamente)...ma del polpo abbiamo trovato circa una decina di pezzetti.Confidavo, a quel punto, molto nei panini: Hamburger Prawn hot...gamberoni in salsa di pistacchio e bacon ecc ecc: il panino sembrava vuoto, tipo quelli del McDonald's...e del bacon e della salsa di pistacchio appena l'odore.Hamburger Salmon: un misero trancetto di scarsi 50 gr. di salmone e burrata appena avvistata (ma molto alla lontana).Non era questa la qualità e la quantità delle stesse pietanze mangiate sul posto qualche mese fa.Premesso che il servizio per la consegna a domicilio si paga a parte e tenuto, anche, conto che sicuramente il gestore del Crumb Lobster & Burger dovrà anche lui una percentuale del suo guadagno a Just-Eat (ci sta tutto, il servizio reso da un terzo soggetto va pagato), è del tutto assurdo ed inconcepibile che si applichino ai cibi da asporto gli stessi prezzi praticati per il servizio al tavolo, visto e considerato che abbiamo fatto i camerieri di noi stessi e che tovaglioli, bicchieri, piatti, posate e pavimento li abbiamo sporcati a casa nostra e non al Crumb - Lobster & Burger. Peraltro, che fate? Mandate a casa del cliente pietanze contenenti quantità di cibo inferiori rispetto a quelle che servite al tavolo e avete l'ardire di far pagare le stesse cifre? Se siete intenzionati a perdere la clientela, vi assicuro che siete sulla buonissima strada.Ascoltate un fesso: lasciate perdere il servizio a domicilio (o per lo meno, dotatevi di un rider interno e guadagnatevelo voi il servizio di consegna a domicilio) e puntate sulla qualità e quantità di quello che siete bravi a fare con i clienti che vengono a cena presso il vostro locale.

The first thing to say is this is a a venue for all occasions. The hanging baskets and outdoor seating area are beautiful! We started off with the antipasto Nera - I couldnât recommend this more highly. A variety of Italian dishes including crunchy focaccia, steak tartare with golden kiwi as well as steak in red berry and apricot sauce.. absolutely delicious.For mains we had bucatini allâamatriciana - it was a very healthy portion and I couldnât stop eating. Everything was accompanied with some amazing red wines.This place is just great, you are greeted with a smile by everyone, the staff are fantastic and the food is just as good!10/10 would recommend.
