I discovered Il Cocco, located in the Hotel Krone in Gerlingen, when my group from an art course in the area went there for an evening meal. With excellent food; friendly, prompt, and accommodating service; and an attractive and comfortable ambience, Il Cocco makes for a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience! I liked the restaurant so much that I took my husband there for dinner when he picked me up from the class the next evening, and HE liked the restaurant so much that he wanted to go again when he picked me up from the class the next day. When I went the second time, the waitress remembered that I like a lot of ice with my Coke, and brought me a little bucket of ice before I even mentioned it. On the third visit, the chef prepared our meal before the kitchen had officially opened and came out to see us before dinner (probably to see what kind of people would come three nights in a row.) The cuisine covers a variety of standard and special Italian dishes, as well as traditional German selections, like Zwiebelrostbraten . . . and the prices are reasonable. Okay, maybe three nights in a row is a bit much, but we don't live close by and probably won't have a chance to go again for awhile. I would definitely recommend Il Cocco for a great dining experience! On Thursday nights, live music is presented - a keyboard player, who we were told is quite good.

We went there after checking restaurants nearby out location and we were not disappointed. There were not many pictures or reviews on this restaurant as it's a relatively new one, but the reviews should start coming.The staff is very friendly and they all speak English, German and Spanish.The food is great and keeping up with the Argentine-style cuisine. The steak was great and the empanadas as starters were too. We didn't have desert though.The prices are also reasonable, definetly recommend visiting.

Yes, it was incredible! Both of us donât speak a drop of Greek, just arrived in Stuttgart and needed a dinner. Luckily, located just around the corner was Retsinadiko. We walked in and was told they were full (they were except one table), and as we walked out of the place, we heard Stop! Turned out the table had cancelled, and it was ours. What happened next is very rare in the restaurant world â not knowing any German or Greek, the owner and head Chef himself (âBobbyâ as we called him) came to our table and ordered for us. He explained everything in English and created custom plates. We started with a tomato cased sauce with cheese, deep fried feta cheese, fried Zucchini & Squash, Tzatziki to start with. Oh, I almost forgot the licorice flavored liquor on ice we started with â what a great way to start a meal! The first courses were amazing! Then we had skewered pork medallions and then a minced meat stuffed with cheese. To say it was excellent would be a huge understatement. This was the best meal Iâve had in a long long time! What a treat indeed. Service was over the top awesome, the atmosphere just right and you can tell this is a regular joint for many people. Its not a touristy place, itâs the real deal that has been in the family for at least 3 generations. We finished up with a cake and ice cream dish which was perfect â it hit the spot, just the right mix of sweets! If youâve never eaten here â come you will not regret it! Amazing dinner â if I could give it 6 stars I would!!!Dear John, Dear Arlis,what can I say? I woke up seeing this amazing review of our Restaurant.I just can say thank you for being my guests. Entering in the restaurant decor looked nice and the music being played was awesome! I assumed we would have a great dinner with a great atmosphere. The drinks ordered came out immediately. One of our friends ordered a salad for a meal and it came out immediately and the food for the rest of us came out 1 hour 35mins later. Our friend did not want to eat his salad in front of us so he waited for our food so he could eat with us. We didn't even have bread as I looked around at other tables who came in after us had bread. When I finally get my food I'm starving and I dig into my rice and prawns and it's extremely spicy hot! I was asked the level of hot I wanted when ordering and I requested that I did not want it hot (NOT 1,2, or 3). The same occurred with the others that were with us. So I spent â¬15 just to eat bread. I did not reorder because I thought it would be worthless to possibly have to wait another hour for my food. At this point I was ready to go. The waiter finally comes to our table and we asked for the check and he asked if he could clear the table first. Table was cleared so we asked again to pay our bill and were waiting another 15 mins for someone. I look around and see all the waiters in a corner talking, on the cellphone etc... At this point I'm seeing the review I read about the poor Service is actually true. I finally got up and went over to the waiters and told them we had asked to pay our bill no one ever came and we were ready to go now! At that point someone came immediately. I can't say that I would return... Liebe(r) Deymond,vielen Dank für Ihren Besuch. An dem Samstag war das Haus ganz voll. Sie kamen ohne Reservierung und haben 15 Minuten auf einen freien Tisch freiwillig gewartet. Auch wurde Ihnen im Vorfeld gesagt, dass etwas dauern kann.
